We have to have him back for the UNC game. I feel like he served his time. Obviously, it’s coaches call, but I personally will be very disappointed if he can’t go.

It isn’t the coach’s call. He is subject to University policy and code of conduct.ComebackShack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:23 pmWe have to have him back for the UNC game. I feel like he served his time. Obviously, it’s coaches call, but I personally will be very disappointed if he can’t go.
Hopefully the university realizes the magnitude of this game for our university in comparison to a small weed charge.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:33 pmIt isn’t the coach’s call. I am going to assume implied sarcasm. I for one hope that our University has more integrity than to act in favor of a single game. I want him on the field as well, but it shouldn’t be done at the compromise of our responsibilities as an institution of higher learning.yosef69 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:34 pmHopefully the university realizes the magnitude of this game for our university in comparison to a small weed charge.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:33 pmIt isn’t the coach’s call. Good thing weed is no longer criminal. It's the equivalent of a speeding ticket now isnt it?ComebackShack wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:42 pmOn one hand, Corey DID break the law. On the other hand, weed should be legal. Doesn’t make him breaking the law any better, it’s more of an integrity thing knowing he is held to a standard as a student athlete. That being said, 2 games is plenty. #FREESUTTON
Correct. He will be back. First suspension was team direction, Second came down from the University.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:33 pmIt isn’t the coach’s call. You have it on good authority he’ll be back this week?appstatealum wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:43 pmCorrect. He will be back. Mack and Co will be lining up to stop Evans, it will be on Zacs arm to light that UNC defense up. Corey may not be as athletic as Sage Surratt, but he definitely is more polished as a receiver. Let’s get it!
Doesn't matter if its for a National Championship game, the University or the coaching staff should never use that as a measuring stick. I believe Sutton has served his time and should be on the field next week, but the magnitude of the game has no influence. His punishment has fit the crime, simple as that.yosef69 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:34 pmHopefully the university realizes the magnitude of this game for our university in comparison to a small weed charge.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:33 pmIt isn’t the coach’s call. The Student Code of Conduct outlines the possession of an ILLEGAL substance. He is a student, therefore, it falls under their authority to discipline.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:47 pmHonest question: Can someone explain how "university policy" factors in here? Sutton is a student in good standing, correct? I saw pictures of him volunteering at a local elementary school just today. I have been under the impression all along that the head football coach is the one determining what discipline he will face in this situation.
It's also illegal to drive over the speed limit. Should players be suspended for a ticket?AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 8:53 pmThe Student Code of Conduct outlines the possession of an ILLEGAL substance.
