Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
Anyone know what criteria App State ticket office used to assign seat location for the UNC game? I rank 2064 out of 12789 and tickets are in section 210, row 0. I hoped to have better seats than these, but maybe this is fair?
Never mind, I just read DaphneUrquhart post on how they assigned seats. My 2064 is not that good out of 3000 or so I was up against.
Completely fair on App's part.

Don’t feel bad I’m in the low 300s and still didn’t get lower level, I’m not completely convinced that priority points do much for seating location. May be wrong, but my location for bowl games and away games never seems to be that great.

Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
Was just having this conversation with a buddy yesterday. I’d like to know as well. Maybe it is distributed based on highest rank gets closest to 50???
My friend has a higher rank than I and is in section 210. I am lower in rank, but only by maybe a couple hundred and got section 100 about halfway up.
Last I checked both of us are in the top 900 In Yosef.

Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
Log into your Yosef account at App State sports.com to check your points. It's important to remember that the ranking shows you where you are among all donors ever to the Yosef Club. For example, if your rank says 2056 out of 12780 , then you are number 2056 in all-time donations to Yosef. It is not necessarily representative of your exact ranking within current donors.
Donors who have both given $100,000 and are both current donors will have roughly the same point value even the one may have given $5,000 a year for 20 years and one may have given $100,000 this year. There have been some odd Point incentives over the years that do not make points and dollars equate exactly. For example, after the Michigan win, when folks started joining Yosef fairly rapidly, there were extra points allocated to people who have been longtime supporters of Yosef prior to 2006.
You can look at how many points you have earned in what category by clicking on "where could I rank?" That should show you the points you have earned in each category so far.
Regardless of Yosef points or your dollars given, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting all 450 of our student-athletes. Go App!

Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
What I’ve wondered about is how YC will determine which seats are “best” for this game. Those front few rows are terrible in Kenan because the seats come down to ground level. I’d hate to be a high-level donor and be “rewarded” by having to stare at our players’ backs all afternoon.

Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
Not real happy with my UNC tickets and I wasn't happy at UNCC last year but I guess I need to up my giving. Pretty sad, if I interpreted Daphne's post correctly, we haven't even had 13,000 donors to the Yosef Club ever?!? For a school our size, with the success we've had, it should be more than 13,000 in active donors...geez..

Keep in mind that we don't get good tickets from the away schools. Those corner endzone seats are compliments of the home team. much like we put other schools fans in 208 & 209 on the State side near the old Owens Field House

On so many different threads, I have pointed out that we have a small fanbase. Which I admit has nothing to do with UNC tickets. And man, I am expecting a bunch of App fans in Chapel Hill.Rick83 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 9:25 amNot real happy with my UNC tickets and I wasn't happy at UNCC last year but I guess I need to up my giving. Oh yeah, I think the mountain will be well-represented at the Hill. Kind of hate that our allotments have been spread around to different sections but perhaps that will help get someappgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:07 amOn so many different threads, I have pointed out that we have a small fanbase. Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
Our allotment is spread out because we sold out the initial one, asked for (and received) more, and sold that out, too. We asked for a third allotment and were told "no". I'm glad we got as much as we did regardless of where they put us.Rick83 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 11:13 amOh yeah, I think the mountain will be well-represented at the Hill. Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
BINGO! App has over 130,000 living alumni and right at 3,000 current Yosef donors. That's barely 2% of our alumni base. Those current donors aren't all App alumni either.Rick83 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2019 9:25 amNot real happy with my UNC tickets and I wasn't happy at UNCC last year but I guess I need to up my giving. Tickets are available on the secondary market. Vivid seats has lower seating starting about $130 plus fees.

Re: Criteria for assigning seats for UNC game
We have ten tix in 101 row A front row...I couldn’t give a rip about sight lines. I had front row at Montana twice and loved being right there...besides, it’ll make my distance to the goal posts that much closer after the game!!!
