Re: Allottment
I think 10K is a little bit of wishful thinking. No doubt we will be there in numbers and will have a good crowd, but 1/5 of the stadium capacity seems a little high for me. I think about 6,000 at most wearing black and gold knowing what our allotment actually was.

The thing is, I just don't see our game as being one that non-season ticket holder Tarheel fans would have waiting to jump on when single game tickets went on sale. So, I've got to believe that a ton of those were App people. Anybody know how many season tickets UNC sold this year?

Yeah, Mac and I were going back and forth via email this morning. I believe they were saying “Shine and Weed vs Wine and Cheese” and “Moonshine vs Merlot”.
Not sure about that “David from Boone” caller that said we are worried about getting boat raced? Must be one of those dual loyalty guys.

Hopefully it will be easy to see how many App fans were in attendance at the end of the game.

Re: Allottment
There are a lot of App fans who will be buying tickets on the secondary market, even at the outrageous prices. I'm in Greensboro, will likely be headed to Durham and the Chapel Hill Saturday. Will be a good gauge in that morning drive to see how many App flags are on the way. I'd have no doubt that if ticket prices were decent and space was available, you could see a Chatanooga like turnout for this game.NewApp wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 7:40 pm10K sounds high if only 4300 were allotted.appstatealum wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 7:03 pmAround 10k would be my guess as well. Although, that could be the low end of what is actually represented.

What information did you have that indicated we had 7,000 at ECU?

"According to Inside Carolina, UNC sold 28,400 season tickets for the 2019 season, the first reported sellout since the team sold 36,350 season tickets in 2008." The stadium holds 51,000.Rick83 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 10:19 amThe thing is, I just don't see our game as being one that non-season ticket holder Tarheel fans would have waiting to jump on when single game tickets went on sale. I 1000% agree with you. Unless UNC held tickets back for family day, it had to be our demand that caused the game to sellout so quickly.Rick83 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 10:19 amThe thing is, I just don't see our game as being one that non-season ticket holder Tarheel fans would have waiting to jump on when single game tickets went on sale. Re: Allottment
So, 51,000 less 28,400 season tickets, less 4,300 App's allotment, leaves 18,300 single tickets sold for this game...NewApp wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 12:44 pm"According to Inside Carolina, UNC sold 28,400 season tickets for the 2019 season, the first reported sellout since the team sold 36,350 season tickets in 2008." Re: Allottment
UNC held out tons tickets for family day. We got ours through that system as my brother is a unc student. Only $35 a pop and we had alot of seats to choose from. I'm afraid through family day they really worked to keep us out. We could bring 15k to this game but I doubt we will eclipse 6k or 7k...it "sold out" quickly because there were not many tickets to buy. I just cant imagine 10k app fans found a way to buy tickets....hope I'm wrongappgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 1:55 pmI 1000% agree with you. Re: Allottment
They sold out how quickly? I would think UNC fans wouldn't be waiting for the ticket sales box to open up to snatch tickets as soon as they became available. The manner in which the tickets disappeared reminds me of the National Championship games. As soon as tickets were put out, they were being sold mostly to App fans in every case.AppSt12 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:17 pmUNC held out tons tickets for family day. Re: Allottment
There was only one section, for the most part, that showed much green attire and that was the left section on the East Side top and it was taken up partly by their pep band. There were a few in green on the West Side. A lot of UNC-C fans were wearing white.Rick83 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 8:11 amGranted, I read Hardin's article quickly this morning but I didn't care for it. He found the two people in Boone, students supposedly, who seemed like they didn't really follow the football team. One guy didn't know we were playing North Carolina this week, and another guy is quoted as “App’s not doing bad this year. We definitely have the spunk.” Really? Not doing bad? We have "spunk?"
Also, in reference to the Charlotte game, "everyone was wearing green" ?? I guess our fans didn't show up for the Charlotte game.
Very poorly written article in my opinion.

Re: Allottment
Of course not, and hope you are actually joking as it would be ludicrous to think that. I never said or implied that the 18,300 single tickets were purchased by our people. I was merely getting to how many non-season ticket holders and non-App allotment tickets were sold to see what the available pool of tickets was. Obviously UNC people were buying out of that pool but the point of my original post above, I don't see this game as being a big game for the Tarheel faithful, so I would expect a good portion of the 18,300 were purchased by our people. I have no way of determining that obviously.ASU2012 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 11:51 amThink you are forgetting UNC studentsRick83 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:52 pmSo, 51,000 less 28,400 season tickets, less 4,300 App's allotment, leaves 18,300 single tickets sold for this game...NewApp wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 12:44 pm"According to Inside Carolina, UNC sold 28,400 season tickets for the 2019 season, the first reported sellout since the team sold 36,350 season tickets in 2008." Re: Allottment
Unless, you're meaning student issued tickets? Which would of course reduce the single game ticket total if they issue tickets for that. I don't know how they handle students...Rick83 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 12:02 pmOf course not, and hope you are actually joking as it would be ludicrous to think that.
