Re: UNCC
It's already up to -20.5. If App is up 48-21 late and Charlotte make it 48-28 with the backups in, you lose.
Vegas isn't undefeated, but they win 60 percent of the time, which is enough to build giant casinos.

Re: UNCC
Charlotte drove the ball last year, they just couldn't finish the drives. If they have the right QB, it's possible they could score points.
I feel like ETSU's line play might be better than Charlotte's, which could lead to more TFLs and sacks.
O/U is 52, which I would go over on.

Re: UNCC
That spread last year was one of the all-time free money lines. This one’s a bit tougher.
If I had to bet, I’d take App. Would want to know more about the injured players (esp. Johnson) first though.

I hate picking unders. It’s like your rooting for a bad game. That being said, a 35-14 score is realistic and would be under the total.T-Dog wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 4:51 pmCharlotte drove the ball last year, they just couldn't finish the drives. I had a friend who jumped on that like Biff with his sports almanac. He sat beside me at the game in his UNCC shirt. His team lost big, as he won big. I doubt he’s going to be that bold with 20 and a hook.

Re: UNCC
App's offense concerns me. However, I watched Charlotte give up 28 points to a Gardner Webb team who was no better than what we saw last season. Charlotte fans are saying it's because the coaching staff was "resting" guys but not even suiting them up. I saw App rotating defensive personnel at every position beginning in the first quarter against a much better FCS team and only give up 7 points.
I could see this as a 28-7 type game, in App's favor. If the offense is able to improve its early efficiency, I could see 45-9 again. I could also see Roof's soft zone coverage being exploited all day long, leaving App's offense with fewer possessions and driving down the score.
I probably won't bet on the game because there are too many unknowns with two entirely new coaching staffs with teams coming off games against FCS opponents.

I’d still lay the 20.5 this year. I think the 32.5 vs ETSU was more concerning than this line.

Re: UNCC
Watch most of our game over last night. Our line play on both sides of the ball looked better than I thought. I don’t think the UNCC game will ever be in question. App wins big.
