Bigger than football
Shouldn’t have been that close, but still a win. F*&$ that awful, high-horse, cheating institution.

I agree. I’m happy for the win but struggling defensively to a mediocre acc team sucks. Especially considering the state of the acc in football right now. Clemson is it.

Re: Bigger than football
It’s not like the offense did the defense many favors, today. The defense brought it early and played through injuries and cramps. Pump the brakes.mtoddsolomon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:50 pmI agree. I’m happy for the win but struggling defensively to a mediocre acc team sucks. Re: Bigger than football
The struggle was with being gassed and cramping. The defense, when full speed, was excellent today.mtoddsolomon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:50 pmI agree. Re: Bigger than football
I think your mom is a troll. Construction management grad 2008. On the front row at Michigan, and at all three national championships. I just act like we’ve been there before because we have. I’m sorry I think more highly of our program than you do. Read any of the Carolina message boards they’re still treating us like we’re on a lower tier than them and a lot of posts here are adding fuel to the fire. I won’t acknowledge that beating a sub par basketball conference team is a big win. I like in state wins but i would rather look at it like any other non conference win and move on. I’m hoping for a New Year’s Eve bowl. That will give us the recognition most people are hoping that this wing gives us.

Re: Bigger than football
You are not wrong. Game should've and could've been out of reach for them. Our offense dominated and our defense was very good for the majority of the game. I thought this was an excellent called game from Drink. He managed the clock well, managed the cramp/injuries well, and did his best to keep our defense off the field. After that opening KR and TD, Carolina was on their heels and realized quickly we were just a better football team. As most teams have done this year, we didn't press the issue and let them crawl back in to the game. A few unexplainable calls from the officials helped UNC maintain some drives and gave them that "glimmer of hope" that they have gotten at the end of games all season. Unfortunately for them, Wake and App weren't as lazy as SC and UM.mtoddsolomon wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 9:01 pmI think your mom is a troll. Construction management grad 2008. Re: Bigger than football
I would suggest one minor amendment. They realized we are a better football team then their egos had previously allowed. Even in loss they will never, ever admit we were the better football team.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 12:12 amYou are not wrong. Game should've and could've been out of reach for them. Re: Bigger than football
Watch the Mack Brown postgame presser, then watch the Drinkwitz presser. If that doesn’t show you how good of a position App is in moving forward....Drink makes Brown look like an amateur.Appster99 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 9:40 amI would suggest one minor amendment. Re: Bigger than football
It doesn't matter what Mack thinks. His players are the one's on the field. He can give all the speeches he wants. He will not change the arrogance embedded in UNC psyche. They appear incapable of respect.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 10:04 amWatch the Mack Brown postgame presser, then watch the Drinkwitz presser.
