Kenan Stadium
That was the worst away experience I've had. The fans are classless, and we saw that multiple times yesterday. First, the safety school chant. That's just ridiculous and is a bad look when you do it when getting blown out (27-10 at that point). Then, booing our players. Got called trash multiple times by the fans, and a tar hole told me to shut up when I was cheering for app. Overall, the stereotypes about Carolina were proven to be true. It's a world of classless, arrogant pricks that have nothing in life other than their false sense of entitlement for attending a classless and corrupt institution.

Re: Kenan Stadium
The atmosphere was awesome because it was loud in there because of the App fans! I will say this I think it was the start of the fourth quarter they did this thing where the players went to the student section and got them going that I have to say was pretty cool. Would like to see that a kid brewer getting the students involved in the game.

Re: Kenan Stadium
I did not hear one "welcome" or anything like that. A UNC fan with his App State girlfriend in front of me was a good dude, but I did see a fair share of middle fingers.

I had a good experience. The UNC fans in front of me were into the game, stood and cheered at appropriate times and offered a handshake as time expired. Now I did want to knock the block off the 'holes a few rows down who were booing our cramps.

Re: Kenan Stadium
Our players don't have to "go to" the student section, because we put our students in prime seats right behind the bench. UNC, meanwhile, sticks their students behind one end zone.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:02 pmat the start of the fourth quarter UNC did this thing where the players went to the student section and got them going that I have to say was pretty cool. As a student I recall our players constantly engaging our students. Deuce Robinson in particular was famous for jumping up on the team's bench and amping up the crowd.

You mean Kid Brewer Stadium - East?
UNC fans are arrogant but man their football culture sucks. Their game day atmosphere is a joke and soft as can be. I love that we took over their stadium with our noise.

Re: Kenan Stadium
that's disappointing to hear. I know each experience can be different. We had a great experience! Not one person was rude to us. I hope more people had a day like ours rather than the ones that some people had. I will never understand Jerks at football games. Everyone is there to have a good time on both sides.
I hope that picture of the girl shooting the bird goes viral! That's hilarious
And like someone else said, their GameDay atmosphere is embarrassing. Can't wait until next weekend to get back to a real football school

Re: Kenan Stadium
I didn't have too bad of an experience. The men's restroom was pretty civil at halftime, except for the one idiot who yelled out that they had "outhouses for the Mountaineer fans." I gave it about 10 seconds, then calmly yelled back. "They must be near the scoreboard"
They respectfully clears the premises post game, so we could enjoy our celebration!
It's a nice stadium, but their concourses and concessions couldn't handle a sellout crowd. Clemson fans will overwhelm the place again. Bag Check security was four disinterested college students.
They did have two big water coolers behind the home stand that allowed for re-fills of water. Why, as a university who loves our mountains and natural resources, can't we make this happen?

At a lot of App games I’ll buy a water then re fill it at the fountains during the gameWASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:35 pmI didn't have too bad of an experience. Re: Kenan Stadium
That works, but the fountains were turned off under the East Stands for the final few games last year. Why not be intentional and make it easy for our fans?diehardapp18 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:45 pmAt a lot of App games I’ll buy a water then re fill it at the fountains during the gameWASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:35 pmI didn't have too bad of an experience. Re: Kenan Stadium
Here’s a few observations I had from my Keenan experience...
1 - our “small” group of fans were equally as loud as their full fan base. It blew my mind that they only cheered on their defense on 3rd downs. I could barely talk after the game from cheering every single time our defense was on the field. And to no surprise, UNC fans were annoyed with our cheering on our defense.
2 - I feel like they literally have people on the team whose job is to “pump up the crowd.” And by players, I mean hired people dressed in football uniforms because the “players” doing it didn’t look remotely close to athletes and honestly looked just plain silly. The whole pumping up the student section at the beginning of the 4th quarter was a sad site to see. I’d like to think our students don’t need to be instructed by dancing players to get hype...
3 - it was glaringly obvious that UNC fans go to football games simply as a social event, not for the product on the field. Nobody was in a rush to get to their seats before the game or during half time. Simply glad to be there to be seen. Not the kind of atmosphere I want.
4 - lastly, I think many of their fans weren’t too shocked that we beat them. They just don’t have the rich history of football success that breeds an expectation of winning. They’re fair weather fans (as we all knew), so it was another normal day to them yesterday.
The best team won and it was an absolutely blast proving that we have the best football program in the state. It’s a day I’ll never forget (just like the Michigan win) and I’m thankful for each and every App fan that made the trip to make it that much more memorable!!! PRIDE, PASSION, PURPOSE

Re: Kenan Stadium
My son and I were verbally and physically assaulted as we left. 50 plus year old gentleman blind sided me and tried to choke my 17 year old autistic son. He started the whole thing by turning around and screaming at us with about 2 minutes to go. I have filed a complaint with the police after EMT's checked us out. If UNC police will do nothing, I'll go to social medial and tell everything.

It is so incredibly classless, offensive, and downright unchristian for one to point a digit in the air. I hope everyone recovers from such an assault.

It really got us fired up. I think once the track is gone it will be even more common at The Rock.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:02 pmThe atmosphere was awesome because it was loud in there because of the App fans! Our students are amazing! I was just saying it was cool to have a designated time during the game to spotlight the students and let them do their thing.SayYesToTheRock wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:09 pmOur players don't have to "go to" the student section, because we put our students in prime seats right behind the bench.
