Undoubtedly we as App fans have experienced or read (probably more so from the media than fans themselves) smug degrading things about our status compared to the almighty Tar Heels.

I personally didn't see any of it myself at the game, and while I agree we are a better program and have a much better football culture....trashing their culture isnt much different than what we accuse them of doing to us.

I hope we continue to be the next big thing and take our program to new heights....but please let's stay humble and grateful. Remember when Toledo fans deserved a better opponent than us....what if we go 12-1 and end up in the New Orleans bowl vs a 8-4 North Texas...how will we react? I see so many nasty fan bases, I wish we didnt engage like some of them.

Its human nature, but sometimes I questioned if we arnt a little hard on Charlotte fans. There are real, blue bleeding Tar Heel fans and green bleeding charlotte fans who live their team like we love ours. Doing things the right way is what has always set us apart. I hope that continues....

I view Charlotte fans much like Georgia 'Southern or Marshall fans. Peers in the world of NCAAF, worthy of trash talk and respect.

I've never met a humble UNC fan. It's time for pay back.

UNC fans are known throughout the sporting (and academic) world for their arrogance.
APP winning a football game will not even begin to change their “culture of arrogance”.

You can rise above if you like, I’ll continue to serve retribution and not feel bad about it.

You beat me to it. I'm not sure "humble" is a word I really associate with App State football fans. Let's just try not to be entitled jerks like the UNC fans and show some good sportsmanship.

I think trash talk is a part of what makes for good football culture. However, i'm going to talk as much trash to UNC as i will Coastal and each team we play. I think keeping it all in good fun is crucial, so you don't come off looking like "those" fans

Nothing wrong with some good natured smack talking! You're exactly right though...keep it in good fun.
