Unsung at UNC

This is it for me and talking about UNC but I watched the game over on Sunday and I have to give some credit to a couple of guys. It’s odd to mention Sutton as an unsung for any game, he’s usually making the big play and getting all the attention. Yes, Cory made some big catches but not the deep ball in this game. What struck me is how hard he fought for every yard after the catch. Young man showed the heart and fight of a winner. Next is Pearson, #88 made at least 2 huge blocks. I think it was Evans 2nd TD when 88 lead 3 into the end zone. The other was a block to seal the edge for Zach to get that last 1st down run. So here’s to Sutton and Pearson, great game guys!

I've only watched it once, and will look again for 88, but you are correct. I noticed everytime Sutton had the ball, he worked hard for any extra yardage he could get. No running out of bounds when several extra yards were available, no matter the pounding he had to take. Heart of a Mountaineer!!

Sorry, I'm 56. Don't understand. Is this a put down?

UNC Barstool on Twitter said Corey was going to wish he was still out. As if Corey needed more inspiration.

I remember a few UNC players hitching a 5 yard ride on Hennigan's back.

I saw Corey after the game. He was hungry for that deepball and he came off like he felt his game was just average. Love seeing that grit in a player. Look out Coastal...... with Henni looking like himself again and Corey back in the mix......yikes.

Malik has also had two 6 catch performances in a row I believe.

Our receiver corps is insanely deep. Gonna have to really open up the playbook to keep them all happy. (We've played 3 games and can't run all the plays yet, I know. Just making a general observation)

Do that and the running lanes for DE get even wider.

ZT completion percentage is a shade over 68%. Expect it to grow to the mid 70's as some of the softer secondaries come up. There just might be some field days in the near future.

The very young DBs who got thrust into 2nd half action because of injuries and cramps - I believe I heard that at one time all 4 starting DBs were out at the same time -

Drink mentioned in post game or his press conference that there were 3-4 Freshmen in the secondary during the 2nd half at any given time. Not only did they play pretty well (considering the circumstances), but got some valuable playing time vs a good opponent.

The UNC game was a blessing on many, many levels - even though it caused some injuries.

*I love Chandler, but he also missed an XP.

Maybe UNC should have had Rubino kick their final FG?

*FAKE NEWS*.

Disregard, complete brain fart. I literally blended watching Butker with KC miss an XP the next day when I was driving home from Chapel Hill. I had him in fantasy and remember commenting to my wife how great it is to have an automatic Kicker in college and pros nowadays.   good god, I’m still hungover from that win!
