Interesting notes on the depth chart. Victor Johnson listed as starter but I wonder if that holds up. Looks like Hodges has a lock on the RT spot. He is going to be very good. Franklin is listed as well. I hope these guys are indeed healthy.

Look at the backups on defense who are getting good playing time this year. Makes me feel good despite just 5 starters returning next year. Huff, Smith, and Ross are showing they can be good ones to replace the senior DBs. We are even stronger at LB. Anyone notice how many are playing this year? We lose 3 from this team next year Hampton, Doublin, Bird, Cobb, and Frizzell among those back. I hope these guys keep playing a ton. Having good depth is often the difference at the end of the year.

My biggest concern is 2021 when we lose all of these juniors. That’s a lot of talent to replace at many key positions.

Victor is the starter and will continue to be the starter until the end of the year. Hodges is filling in nicely but there is no indication that he will supplant VC. There are things in play here that you just don’t need to worry about.

I feel guilty that I didn't have to pay to view this.

Johnson and Hodges start at different positions. Cooper is not "filling in".

If we keep progressing like we have and the CFP landscape keeps changing the way it has, we will be in a good position of “reloading” with talent by then.

I love Vic Johnson. He is a nasty S.O.B. I know he tends to have a few penalties, but his nastiness on the line brings a certain cache.

Correct Happ. Thanks. I meant to speak to Garrison in my response.

Was this info in the media guide ? This is awesome. Especially like the part telling them to not use the appy state,ASU ,the pronunciation app-a-lay-chin and the old logos .

You can download an updated version of these game notes on the AppStateSports.com site before every game, and have been able to do so for years.
