Re: Top 25 Watch (real thread)

Cincy's going to win, A&M's going to lose big enough. Game to watch right now is TX Tech-Baylor (FS1) or Washington St.-AZ State if you can get it.

If we horseshoe and have enough seats in one endzone I think we can keep the hill. If we ever get to where we are having 35-40k at games though we may need to adds seats there as well. I have no clue on architecture so I'm not sure what our potential max seating would be.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:12 pmSide note, it appears there are tons of fans sitting on a lawn behind one of Baylor's end zones, but that can't be true, as I've read many times on this board that something like that makes a stadium look small-time and outdated.
If Minnesota, Baylor, Or Wake Forest goes down we will be ranked next week. Like I said what 2 weeks ago, everything is going to play out. We just keep winning and we will be ranked and just start slotting up. The only team below us right now that I could see leapfrogging us is Hawaii if they win.
Spoke too soon, TTU let them come back on a 100 yard drive with a minute leftAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:38 pmIf Minnesota, Baylor, Or Wake Forest goes down we will be ranked next week. What we need more than any of these teams losing though is for us to win big. I am talking if the line is 13 next week we need to win by 24 or more. We really need some wins that as I like to call it "leave no doubt". I'm not as worried about the rest of the country if we win big weekly. The more we tinker around the betting line the more I feel like we need Cincinnati and Memphis to lose again and for Hawaii, Boise State, Wake Forest, etc type teams to take 2 losses.yosef69 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:41 pmSpoke too soon, TTU let them come back on a 100 yard drive with a minute leftAppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:38 pmIf Minnesota, Baylor, Or Wake Forest goes down we will be ranked next week. Looking at the renderings they have of what the stadium is going to look like after the NEZ is finished, it would look like they’d expand the seats inward towards the sidelines before they did any horseshoeing, but idk.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:35 pmIf we horseshoe and have enough seats in one endzone I think we can keep the hill. Yeah I like the horseshoe idea I saw better but I'm sure it will look great.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 8:48 pmLooking at the renderings they have of what the stadium is going to look like after the NEZ is finished, it would look like they’d expand the seats inward towards the sidelines before they did any horseshoeing, but idk.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 6:35 pmIf we horseshoe and have enough seats in one endzone I think we can keep the hill. In other news, maybe Satterfield can pull a solid for us and knock the Deacs down a notch or two.
Quick side note:
I don't follow their recruiting at all, but I'd be surprised if they're beating out Big Ten teams for recruits.ah59396 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:26 pmQuick side note:
I’ll be curious to see if NDSU takes a step back in the event PJ Fleck makes the Gophers a legit Big 10 team.
They’ve been awful forever and I think it’s benefited the Bison to be dominant and geographically isolated from a branding and recruiting perspective.
I’m of the opinion that a strong Gophers program is bad news for the Bison.
Yeah I don’t know enough about the recruiting either, but I can’t imagine the Gophers have had great recruiting classes prior to Flecks arrival.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:29 pmI don't follow their recruiting at all, but I'd be surprised if they're beating out Big Ten teams for recruits.ah59396 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:26 pmQuick side note:

I'd also be surprised if Fleck hangs around Minnesota very long if he keeps winning.
