Perks of being a Mountaineer

I am working at the Greensboro Science Center this Friday evening as I type this. We do Laser Shows once a month and tonight is Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon with is always a sell-out. I walk out to let the crowd in for the 9 pm show and the woman that was third in line is wearing an App football jersey. I think it was #14 even.

I immediately walk to her and tell her she is first in line now and to go pick her favorite seat.

I may or may not get in trouble for that, but I don't care. She and I have a nice moment and shared a thought or two about the UNC-CH game.

Saw this show in an Omnimax about 30 years ago. Loved it.

Apparently Discovery Place stopped doing laser shows. One of their movie/laser show operators was at our the Pink Floyd: The Wall show a few months ago and mentioned he came up for the memories of what was. He mentioned the powers that be decided the type of customer they were attracting to the laser shows was not the type of customer they wanted at their museum. Their loss is our gain at GSC I guess.

I think the shows are fun and I work the crowd a bit and get a laugh or two before the show starts.
