5 point move in one day on public opinion. It's like we have players sitting out in key positions for that type of move.

The first move was the sharp money yesterday which moved it to ULL -1, which is troubling. The subsequent move to ULL -3 is public money, not as troubling.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 9:20 amVegas Insider opened with APP -2.ASU_Victory_Lap wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 6:53 amOpening is ULL -1. This likely means the computers are saying the game is a push, which I believe it will be as it will come down to turnovers and 1-2 plays.

Re: Officially Underdogs to ULL
Glad we are the underdog. We play well when we are the underdog against G5 schools, just look at last year's bowl game for the most recent example. Although I respect UL and feel they have a good team (great RB), I think this becomes a statement game for us. Looking for a big win on the road on national television.

The current UL coach was the Furman QB for Miracle on the Mountain.NewApp wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 10:08 amNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 10:02 amLike taking an interception to the house on a two point conversion attempt?Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 9:35 amThe first move was the sharp money yesterday which moved it to ULL -1, which is troubling. Seeing +1 now, so it's all home field advantage. At home wed be favored by 2. I like it, technically underdogs but only bc we are away.

Re: Officially Underdogs to ULL
Here is the thing though. We have fans so worried about where we are ranked. If we are a top 25 caliber team this game should not be a 1-2 play or 1 turnover difference. A top 25 caliber team would beat ULL by 10-20 points for sure. So if we do lose or only beat them by a FG then I hope our fans so worried about rankings will shut up. If we are worthy of a ranking then this game won't be as close as people think.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 9:35 amThe first move was the sharp money yesterday which moved it to ULL -1, which is troubling. Re: Officially Underdogs to ULL
We're worried about where we are ranked because perception becomes reality in this sport. Being in the top 25 helps recruiting. It helps us get in to a better bowl. It helps build our case for maybe one day getting into the AAC. The exposure from being ranked is absolutely massive for a G5 school trying to build and establish a brand.
Also, we're just having fun discussing the idea. Every poster on this board could completely forget that we play Wednesday and it wouldn't affect the outcome of the game at all

Re: Officially Underdogs to ULL
Why is the AAC a goal for some people? For App, or anyone else to get an invitation, would mean a combination of teams like Houston, UCF, Memphis, or Cincy have moved on. If that is the case, are they left to be a better conference?sfoal308 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:23 pmWe're worried about where we are ranked because perception becomes reality in this sport. Agreed, if we're a top 25 team we should win by a least 10. Otherwise, end of discussion.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:05 pmHere is the thing though. If we’re a top 25 team we go get a road win no matter what it looks like or how big we win and then turn our attention to the next one.

Nice back peddle. Then why are you even bothering to post? The opponent is what matters. Period. The endless screaming about being ranked is played outsfoal308 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:23 pmWe're worried about where we are ranked because perception becomes reality in this sport. The endless lecturing about "focusing on the upcoming opponent" is far more played out than this is. If you don't want to discuss rankings, than just don't discuss them. There's no need to try to tell the rest of us what we can and can't discussSeattleapp wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 8:01 pmNice back peddle. Then why are you even bothering to post?
