Lots of empty seats. For a game this big, you'd think the fans would come. How many are there? How many does the place hold?

I dont know.... but I was in the hospital last week and I saw more people in my room than are in that stadium.

"Official count" from the Mountaineer post game was 21,012.

Some of their fans thought they would have 28k-31k. Their capacity is listed around 41,000 so the fact it looked half full is indeed correct, I guess.

Yeah. A close friend of mine was at the game, he said their stadium is huge and the fans came strong considering. Once we smacked them early, Im sure alot of the ladies and Podcasters left after they had a few half priced White Claws.

My Aunt went, from the pics she sent it looked more empty than I saw on TV. Both looked that way probably because her pics and the TV cameras were showing the less filled side.

ALL THAT HYPE! For a poor crowd, the sad part is they TRIED to hype the game up so bad and used so many resources!

Just curious... when ULL came to Boone for the regular season Saturday game last year, what was the attendance?

Why in gods name did La build a stadium that "holds" 41K? Do they ever even come close to selling out or filling it up? We have beaten that subject to death as far as our place goes. Personally I hope we settle in at about 30K seating with the option of holding 35K (like we did for Miami and a few others). It looked horrible on television last night when the cameras panned the stands.

I agree, Black Saturday.

I was at the game and while it was not close to being full I thought it was a decent crowd for a Wednesday night.

The endzone stands looked pretty empty.
