AP Poll usually comes out around 2 p.m.
24 is the highest a Sun Belt team has ever been in any major poll.

Re: New Coaches poll out
Last time we got ranked, we immediately laid an egg. Had we not, we'd probably been in the low teens ending the season.

This is amazing. Truly amazing how far this program has come in 14 years since our first National Championship. Just wow. We’re actually in the media discussion for NY6 Cotton Bowl. Wow. Keep up the good work guys! And fans keep the money coming in. They’ll be after Drink in a blink of an eye.

Troy was the first ever Sunbelt team ranked when they hit 25th in 2016.

You’re right, but I think we got humbled and learned from it. This year’s team is the most focused and disciplined I think I’ve ever seen at App. I’ve got a lot of faith in these guys!Black Saturday wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 12:37 pmLast time we got ranked, we immediately laid an egg. It really is. I’ve been following the team since my freshman year which was...sigh, roughly 20 years ago, and it’s remarkable to see how far we’ve come.AppUSMC wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 12:40 pmThis is amazing. I’m glad we took the risk of going FBS (and obviously delighted it’s worked out so well so far). But it’s a testament to the hard work of our coaches and AD staff.
I’m not sure how far we can go, but I’m relieved we have leadership willing to reach for the stars.

In his hiring presser Drink said we are a top 25 program. Thanks to Diet Mtn. Dew we are probably back!

Re: New Coaches poll out
Exactly what we figured. Would have been 25 in the Coaches Poll if not for Missouri being ineligible. Now we just have to more than cover the spread against every opponent. AAC is going to eliminate themselves. We just take care of business like we need to and we will close the gap on Boise State. Just watch as the AAC eliminates each other over the next 3-4 weeks.

Re: New Coaches poll out
We "laid an egg" because we lost our QB and our MLB early in the game. I'm tired of hearing fans acting like the ranking somehow led to that loss. If we want to be respected as a program we need to be ranked early and often, stop acting like this is somehow a negative thing.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 12:37 pmLast time we got ranked, we immediately laid an egg. Started to say the same thing, then decided why bother.Overcashed wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 1:15 pmWe "laid an egg" because we lost our QB and our MLB early in the game. That game was a perfect storm of awfulness. If lack of focus played a role, it was an exceedingly small one.
