Parking Question
Anybody ever parked somewhere in Boone to ride in with someone else to their parking space? Any recommendations on a safe, legal, free place to park to do that. Thanks.

Re: Parking Question
Boone resident here. Best place is the ASU shuttle going from what used to be the Watauga High location over on Highway 105 (above Enterprise Car Rental) - but that's not really the question you're asking. Walmart, Lowe's Hardware, and Lowe's Foods (New Market) are all lots that typically have plenty of additional space, wouldn't notice, and aren't towed. Walmart's always a crazy place though, so probably avoid it for the after-game rush to the restaurants in the same lot. There's always the Boone Mall parking lot, but BE WARNED if rain is on the schedule. That thing floods if you look at it wrong.
I'd pick a grocery store lot on the side of town you're wanting to head back out of. So New Market (Lowe's Foods) if you're coming from 421, Lowe's Hardware/Chipotle or the Mall if the 321 side. There's not much on the North side of town on the way out to TN, but the Ingle's lot would probably work fine.
Cheers and welcome home for homecoming!

Re: Parking Question
I parked over on Queen Street last game (the slanted spots in the middle). Just put a few dollars in the meter for the entire day. No towing even though we left after the meter time expired. Easy walk down to King Street and over to the stadium.

Thanks. New Market is what I was thinking. Wanted to make sure they didn't monitor/tow. Not sure how the could.App4that wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 12:36 pmBoone resident here. Re: Parking Question
You got it. There's a little lot sandwiched behind the Regal Cinemas and Hardee's that's out of the way of most of the grocery store traffic. Easy in and out. That's where I like to do Craigslist meetups. In the open and safe, but not towed.goapps93 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 2:06 pmThanks. New Market is what I was thinking.
