My top choice for a Home and Home. (That has not already been Scheduled)
***********Vanderbilt**************
Winnable -
Best city to spend a weekend.
Will help our strength of schedule even if they lose a lot because of conference.
Mainly, I like having a reason to go to Nashville.
Middle Tennessee for the reasons listed above but may weaken our Strength of Schedule.
What is your top choice for a Home and Home?
Bonus - FCS team you would like to see in Boone?
Furman or Wofford would be my first picks.

I would so love to see App - Notre Dame at some point. Oooohhh man!
Notre Dame legend Lou Holtz was a believer in Apo State... anyone remember that?

Schools that draw upper tier in their home attendance aren't going to be in the least bit attracted to home-home with APP. It's like putting 10lbs of fans in a 5lb stadium.

I know it’s P5, but Alabama played at Wallace Wade pre-renovation.

Memphis, Cincy, Tulane, SMU (there are about 10 flights a day from CLT to DFW)
Duke, ECU, VT, Kentucky
NCSU wont happen. If they win its what's expected. If they lose all the whiney Wolfpack fans will whine about losing to an "inferior" school. They need as many wins they can get to be bowl eligible. App is not a smart pick for them.

As soon as I heard that Satterfield was leaving, I had one thought I imagined this conversation:
Satt walks into Doug Gillin’s office to turn in his resignation. Gillin being the kind of person he is, says to Satt: “We hate to see you go, but that’s a great opportunity so I’m not going to try to stop you. Thanks for all you’ve done for Appalachian. Oh...would you hold on a sec, I need to make a call?”
Gillin grabs his phone and dials the Louisville AD.
Gillin to Lou. AD:
“Coach Satterfield has just resigned so he can take the HC position at Louisville. You are getting a fine coach and an even better person. Now, how about we talk about a Home & Home?!”
What could the Lou. AD have said?

“No”?
Seriously, I’d like to see that series and I think it’s realistic. But if anything, Satt being there probably makes it less likely.

And DUKE fans sold their tickets to Bammers for many, many times the face value.
In my mind for the original response is for H/H within our region, schools that have sizeable traveling fan bases with the history that would take over our relatively too small stadium. Georgia, UT, Clemson, VaTech, LSU, Florida, South Carolina. As it stands now, we have 21k seats? Ok for Wake or Duke or Vandy. APP fans compose 95%+ of the home game attendance now in mostly near or over capacity now. Bottom line is we'd need a 40-45k seats to accommodate those schools, 6 new full service hotels, maybe an earthquake to make the town bigger and the parking lot and shuttles from Tweetsie RailRoad.
But supposedly we are moving the track, which is a nice start.

"And DUKE fans sold their tickets to Bammers for many, many times the face value."
Actually my old bud, I think it was set up that to get Bama tickets one had to buy an entire season ticket package, so the Bama fans bought up Duke season tickets and then dumped the rest of the home season ---
