Re: Post ULM Thoughts
I enjoy reading the players statements. This shows how the players have bought into the offensive and defensive philosophies.

After taking ULM to the woodshed. Hope Coach Viator gives us the respect of at least pronouncing Appalachian correctly from this day forward.

Re: Post ULM Thoughts
My take is Coach D wants to give Huesman as many reps as possible throwing it just handing the ball off. Great throw and even better run after the catch.HighPointApp wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 9:58 amCompletely agree. The other teams in our conference in particular aren’t executing that play.
Haven’t read any takes on that last TD throw. Was that for some style points? Obviously Jalen had to shake and bake and dust the defense but still. Old regime would not have called that play at that point in the game. There is just something different about hanging 50 on an opponent.

Yep, we need 3 things over the next two weeks, wins, reps and rest. Wins for the ream, reps for the backups and rest for the starters.

Am I missing something? Do we get coupons or something for a lot of posts? I feel left out!!!
Re: Post ULM Thoughts
Overall, it was a well played game. I love seeing in print and during interviews the phrase "room to improve" after a game like this. If you're not getting better , you're getting worse...

The difference is you would have started 4 new threads. At least I’m consistent with what I post and where. Surprised you didn’t start a new thread to call me out.

Re: Post ULM Thoughts
Need more Virgil. Virgil on a WR in motion and quick handoff end-around just makes too much sense not to happen. He should be the one getting the quick WR screen passes to the sideline also - need to use his speed

Re: Post ULM Thoughts
11 is fast , our fastest , but has not mastered the jet sweep .I suppose speed and quickness as in change of direction in the open field are different. Agree about getting him more down the field balls. We also need to find our third running back.
