SB Championship game

Unread post by The Rock » Thu Oct 17, 2019 8:25 pm

Was watching the UL vs Arky st game. Saw a commercial for the SB championship game. Thought it said at 11 am. I assume that is coverage and game starting at noon?? Did anyone else see that?

Didn’t see it, but the Sun Belt often lists start times in Central Time since the league is based in New Orleans.

They would have been talking Central time. Both UL and Arkansas State are in Central Time Zone, as is the SBC headquarters.

I'd say we are all assuming APP will be there.

I'm sure you've heard the old saying, "Counting our chickens before they hatch"

We don't need anymore backfield injuries, or we may be watching it on TV.

Is that what you are doing? Many times they do hatch, regardless if you count them or not.

Putting the cart before the horse?

App has almost always had a back-up running back to fill the void. I doubt this year is any different.

Well, it looks like UL has a good shot at winning the West again and even if we drop a conf game we hold the tie breaker over them.

I’m 6-3 220 and have 4 years of eligibility left. I may be slightly arthritic, but if we were desperate, I’d run through a brick wall if it would help App win. I may be good for one or two snaps.....

So is Todd Gurley. Register for some classes and get out there.

We have 5 conf. games left, 3 of which are against GAST, GASO and Troy who each have only one loss! If we should have a hiccup against any one of them and then both teams win out, we would be out of the championship game because they would own the tiebreaker. The only team in the east that is out of it (not mathematically) is Coastal. It’s way too early to assume anything. Stay the course. 1 - 0
