Georgia Southern Weather
I know it's early, but the early models for next Thursday do not look good at all. Supposed to be near freezing, rainy, windy, and with possible lightning according to Ray's Weather.

Re: Georgia Southern Weather
Only 5 to 10 mph winds right now and going down later in the evening. Just have to hope the rain chance goes down, I'm seeing 50% right now.

Re: Georgia Southern Weather
Looks like kickoff will be around 50 degrees with a 5 degree drop by the end of the game. Wind isn't that bad, and rain shows showers. But it's Boone and anything can happen.

Re: Georgia Southern Weather
Talking about the weather, I see a lot of folks who want to see cold weather, rain, sleet and snow for our games. I like that kind of weather but I don’t really think it helps our team. We have become a speed team that relies on big plays. I know we’ve shown the ability this year to grind it out but do you guys really think bad weather helps us?

I’ll believe that forecast five minutes before kickoff...And still reserve the right to change my mind.

Re: Georgia Southern Weather
I wouldn’t mind the cold, advantage us. But rain or anything that increases the likelihood of turnovers I think generally helps the inferior team. I rather play them straight up because I see us as much better than them and I don’t want turnovers and generally sloppy play cause us to not dominate them. Not that what we want matters. It is what it is.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 10:12 amTalking about the weather, I see a lot of folks who want to see cold weather, rain, sleet and snow for our games. Historically, App has always played better in adverse weather conditions at home.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 10:12 amTalking about the weather, I see a lot of folks who want to see cold weather, rain, sleet and snow for our games. I still think about the Ga St game a few years ago. Cold and snowing and our guys come out in short sleeves, no jackets, shirts rolled up to their chest and demolished them.
You could tell Ga st wanted no part of that weather or the game. Loved the psychological intimidation from our guys that day.

If you have fun playing the game, and are properly motivated, you feast off of adversity and find pleasure in it.
Look at the 49’rs game the other week. Absolute monsoon and the players were sliding on the turf and having fun with it.

We are several days out and hopefully the forecast improves but according to Raysweather.com earlier today: "My advice is to make no definitive outdoor plan for Halloween at this point."

Re: Georgia Southern Weather
It was 11/1/14, I proposed to my wife that weekend! What a game indeed!! Just before halftime we were set to kick a field goal and GaSt called 3 timeouts in a row...Satterfield says ok, you wanna play games? Direct snap to Simms McElfresh and he runs it in for a touchdown en route to a 44-0 victoryThe Rock wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 11:10 amI still think about the Ga St game a few years ago. Re: Georgia Southern Weather
Close, but Scott has said many times that the original play call was the fake. The hard part was keeping it disguised three times before they could run it. The circumstances certainly made it look like payback.appaneer1984 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 6:31 amIt was 11/1/14, I proposed to my wife that weekend! What a game indeed!!
