Looks like it’s trending coming in heavy during evening Thursday with heavy rain and severe storms. Geez can’t get a worse forecast.

Go by Walmart and pick up some of the clear 97 cent throw away poncho's and pass them out to our FANTASTIC students. I've got ten. They can be found around the fishing gear.

If those are what I think they are then that plastic is most likely the same plastic they use for dry cleaning and delivering newspapers. Instead of calling them throw away poncho's how about calling them wear-as-much-as-possible-and-then-recycle-with-plastic-grocery-sack-ponchos. And then follow through on the recycling.

That is a nice thought, and I have been spending game time in the student section this year due to the manner that I have been getting my tickets. I will try and pass a few out myself.

I agree. Weather is playing right into a running team’s hands. Their fans are glad to see it. Could be heck on our passing game. Thankfully the D is playing great because this might be low scoring. Not to mention possible lightening delays again on a weeknight.

I understand that they would be happy about the rain, but our running game has been pretty good this season, too. Obviously I'd prefer dry weather for our passing game, but it is what it is. Rain may be the only thing that could equalize this game for them.

Rain isn’t the only negative. Wind gusts could also kill the passing and kicking games.I know it’s part of football, but damn the timing, against the team we owe a real butt kicking.

Sloppy weather favors us more than them. Triple option football is very difficult in cold/wet temps. Having the flexibility to throw short and make one cut and go is a strength for app and can be done in adverse weather. I’m thinking we will blow the doors off of them.

Wish I had better news. Rain. Lot's of it, appears likely for most of tailgating and the game. We could luck out and see the rain end by mid 3 Q. Don't be surprised if we end with a few flakes of snow. Some big ticket cold air will be racing in behind the cold front.

All in all, this weather person will be getting soaked along with my fellow mountaineer faithful. This will be an evening to test the mettle of one's App State soul. On the flip side of that, keep the kids at home.

Frankly, given it's "The Stink" we are playing, is anyone surprised by the forecast?! LOL....

A Ghoulish Halloween forecast! Rain and chilly / cold temperatures. Welcome to THE ROCK Ga. Southern.... Mid to low 50s for the kickoff. End of the game temps will be in the upper 40s.

Rain gear needed. Will need to work to keep your feet and head dry. Hypothermia for the unprepared is not a pretty thing. Rain looks to be pretty steady. I don't anticipate many breaks in the rain.

Will tweak the next few days.

The map they just showed locally here in Raleigh does show the line of storms being out of the mountains by 7:00 ish, but rain lingering. Probably will rain until the cold front completely pushes in.
