Night of Black Thursday

T’was the night of Black Thursday
And all through Whose House, not an Eaglet was stirring
It was quiet like a mouse
I looked at my watch and game time is near
I think I’ll go down for a cold glass of Yosef's beer

Down in the line joyous fans still talk about Jerry
I end up by drinking about 12 cups of Merry

I get to the stands late
Gee whiz I start sleeping
Then into the Row some GSU fans come leaping
They stomp on the seats and they get very Yelly
The stands quiver all over like a bowl full of jelly

We stumble down the stairs the poor wife and me
she goes to get coffee
I just lean on a tree

My head is exploding
My mouth tastes like a pickle
The referee starts blowing a really loud whistle!

On GSU game days I Hug and kiss my GSU friends’ mother
The rest of the year we don’t speak to each other

After the game gets started things quiet down to a point
Then the App…………. State chat starts swarming all over the joint
On the PA an old Paul Harvey bit is playing
He says, “Peace on earth good will to men.”
Just at that moment someone slugs Uncle Ben
A loud kerfuffle breaks out
espn zooms in, all college football see's and can hear!

Gee, I’m glad the GSU game comes, just once a year.



But just like you I enjoy it too.
