No, no. I’m not saying they aren’t big play guys. Henni has had quite a few big plays downfield this year, but I’m saying that our separation guys downfield for this particular matchup should be Corey and Virg. I love the way we use Malik to work the slants and middle of the field and it has been great having Henni back to his reliable self this season after he struggled last year. If we can effectively stretch the field with Corey and Virg, it should open up even more for Malik/Henni where they operate best and also free up the second level for Evans in the run game. We haven’t really featured the explosive potential of #2 and #11 and I think it’s time to do that.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 12:37 pmYou seem to write Henni and Malik off as big play threats. Fact is both of them have made big plays on deep balls. And not just one or two.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 8:42 pmUSC is bigger and slower than UNC. This can't be a smash mouth kind of game from us, we need to spread them out and attack. Sutton and Virg can be big impact guys if Drink can feature them for once. If we just try to dink and dunk with Henni and Malik, we will have a lot of stalled drivesMrCraig wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2019 5:08 pmI know the result of their game against each other, but how does USC compare to UNC? I know the transitive property of college football is bunk, but USC lost to UNC who lost to App. USC also lost by 20 to Tennessee and Missouri. I’m thinking this is very winnable.

Finally moved on from last week's disappointment and am ready to look forward to our trip' to Columbia. 'We've got 4 in our group and hope to see lots of black and gold around town all weekend. Bet we would've had a huge turnout before the Halloween debacle. GO APP!

Re: South Carolina
Would like to see TEs Reed #87 and Pearson #88 getting involved by catching some balls over the middle. Also would like to see Howell punting on Saturday.appstatealum wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 5:21 pmNo, no. I’m not saying they aren’t big play guys. Re: South Carolina
SCAR is T-113th in FBS for passing TD's allowed. If we can protect ZT, I think Corey and Virg can handle the press coverage and open up some big plays down the field. All depends on our O-line.

Re: South Carolina
Just saw on one of their MBs that their RB Feaster is out. Not sure if that makes much difference.

Re: South Carolina
Assuming you mean Georgia Southern, we’ve played them on a short week (Thursday after playing Saturday) every year since we moved up.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 9:23 pmDidn't we have more than a week to prepare against GSU the past two years?
