WE WIN.Accept it.Our guys played played a GOOD game.(I'm turning 65 in December,if we keep playing close games like this,I might not make it)

If you look at the box score, you wouldn't think we won. 22 first downs to 11, 346 yards to 202. Wow. It's great to be a Mountaineer

Offense struggled again. But I do think SC’s D is their strength. They certainly stifled UGA.

SC chucked the pig skin all over the field. 32/58 for 325 yards passing. Only ran for 21 yards. Helluva game by our guys.

8-1 congratulations to the Mountaineers.
Wish we had stayed in the gas a little longer & our defense bent pretty good last of the 4th.

The Monsoon in Boone is going to haunt me! This team is scary good when they play well, especially on D. We almost gave it away, though. I damn near expected it, sadly. But, I think we will be ranked again (deservedly) by seasons end. We looked like we had the momentum for well into the 4th quarter. Wisconsin will be a great test of who we are under Drinkwitz. I’m excited for our future. It’s great to be a Mountaineer!!

We should all give a huge shout-out to all of APP Nation that made the trip to Columbia. You could hear the APP State chant over the TV. Thanks to all that made the trip and represented our school so enthusiastically!!!

Their fans are pitiful. They were never out of that game but the place looked 50/50 Gamecock to App fans in the second half.
If they didn't head for the exits at the half and the place was raucous, App loses, I fear.

My wife (formerly of Columbia and a big proponent of the pathetic-ness of USC fans) would laugh hysterically every time a call went against App and the BOOs echoed from the TV.

Loved hearing the App-State cheer on TV. And the commentators were giving us lots of respect, not just the typical “these guys are good” and “remember 12 years ago they beat Michigan”. They were very complimentary of us all game. This was huge national exposure.

Looking at the box score this morning, and I swear it didn’t feel as one sided as the box score looks. They beat us in every category... except the one that means the most. Despite that though, our D played awesome. Hats off to coach Roof and the boys.

The stats definitely do not show it but we owned them and their stadium last night. Wasn't in doubt until the last drive of the game.

They rushed for 21 yards the entire game.... we rushed for 5x that...

Yeah my comment was more of a generalization. We beat them in the run game, but my point was that the box score does not match the feeling of the game. We owned them.

Can’t help but continue to be disappointed in the GaSo game, especially after a win like this. But we are 8-1 and control our own destiny in the Sunbelt. A lot of teams would like to be in our shoes.

Hopefully one day we can move to a more prominent conference.
