Coach Drink for instilling more confidence I have ever seen in an App St team. Especially after the loss week before.

Just curious, Rekdiver. What does all the content of this thread have to do with the title being Helmet Stickers? It would seem most would understand why I am asking since my threads often morph into other directions.

In high school, we gave a helmet decal for an outstanding play or an outstanding game. Sort of like you see when you look at an Ohio State helmet and see the buckeyes. Some teams make it easy to earn a sticker and want the helmets full by year' send. For others, the standards are higher and more difficult to earn a sticker.

I prefer a "clean" helmet look. Never liked the stickers. But if you have an ugly helmet - create something to cover it up. Our helmets look good whether gold like last night or black.

ESPN has a "Helmet Sticker" segment. Each panelists awards a sticker for their outstanding player pick. Sticker is actually placed on the player's team helmet.

I was actually talking with my wife about these stickers last week. Not many colleges are using them now. One reason may be that they are changing wraps every week, where in days gone by, your helmet earned it's stripes and it's stickers throughout the year.

Ohio State and their Buckeyes were probably among the most popular. Here's a wikipedia link to the creativity behind the different stickers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmet_sticker

We had them on the back of our helmets during the 2005 National Championship. I am not sure how much longer we kept them.
