ESPN C’mon Man featured SC last play

Unread post by wncapp78 » Mon Nov 11, 2019 8:58 pm

Who saw the C’mon Man tonight before Monday Night Football? I wasn’t playing attention and only saw USC Edwards falling into the hedges with the infamous C’mon Man. Surely someone saw it?

I saw it. They were taking a dig at the receiver for not knowing where the end of the endzone was.

That was not on Edwards... it was bad throw and Edwards was trying everything he could do to stay in bounds... That said, it was a bad throw because the hold was the only reason the QB had time to release. He had to hurry it. If it wasn't a hold, that was a sack to end the game.

It's beyond me to understand how Randy Moss has traveled and lived all over the country, yet still sounds like he's straight out of WV. Most people lose at least a slight bit of their accent when they leave an area. I can't be too mad at him for saying Appy State since he played for a former rival.

I still remember I had to miss the '96 loss to Marshall in KBS my junior year due to some ither committments. That was the only year Moss played for Marshall while in the SoCon.

Is everybody giving a pass (pun intended) to the U of L DB play? Coach Brown (and Satt) must have gone ballistic.
Despite the Appy reference I love the extra national coverage of our win!

That's mild compared to some of the things I'm sure you've heard people say about West Virginia folk. I'm in Frederick County VA so not too far from Paw Paw and Romney where there are definitely some interesting sights to see.

And the play wouldn't have counted anyway. Not sure why that seems to be forgotten here. Most people will continue to say that the only reason App won was because of a missed throw.

Zeke from Cabin Creek :D - Well for me - No --- but to be objective, Randy Moss was the best football player and the best basketball player in the entire state - At the same time ---

I’ve heard a lot of fans talking about the coverage being blown in the last play but you can clearly see the DB fall down (9 secs middle of field) allowing Edwards to get open. Looks like the WR may have used the ref to pick the DB to try and get open. I was baffled at how we allowed their best player to get so wide open after coming out of a TO but this video clip shined a light on the situation.
