Ok Memphis has no defense. The top AAC teams have to win shootouts with the bad teams. If one of them gets the NY6 game they will get shredded. I really hope the committee watches these pathetic defenses.

Navy is taking a beating right now. Theyll fall out
Navy is not good. The AAC is benefitting from perception.

To address the idea that Cincy’s loss to OSU is a “good” loss; really, that was like a FCS loss. A good loss was like when we played UGA in’17 like 31-10... that is a good loss. Believe it or not if we played OSU we would not lose 49-0. Yesterday on a Greenville sports radio station, they were talking about Minn. schedule and saying, that their come from behind win with GASO was “ok.” Referring to they are not a bad team. Whether the CFP thinks that way, who knows? ULL and GASO and Apps could beat any of the the AAC teams. Lastly, we are in the process of raising the SBC standards and perceptions nationally.
We were down 31-0 to Georgia and they put in backups when we scored the 10 points. That game could have been 42-0 if Georgia wanted it to be. That would not happen this year but still in 2017 we were not as close as the score appeared.

That Cincy loss looked awful at the time but based on what we know now the committee is clearly saying it is not that bad, and they should. It was 7-0 at the end of the first quarter and 28-0 at halftime. They beat a top 15 Wisconsin team 38-7. Ohio State is killing everyone. If we played Ohio State the line would probably be 40-45 and it should be. Ohio State is the most dominant team so far. The only reason LSU passed them was the Alabama win. Ohio State will be #1 if they win the rest of their games by double digits. They have Penn State and Michigan left.
Just to add on Ohio State, the Buckeyes by some metrics are looking like the strongest college football team in 25 years. That doesn't mean I am guaranteeing they win out or finish as national champs. But as of now, I am picking them against anybody on a neutral field and it likely would be double digits. Their smallest margin of victory is 24 so I don't think we can drag Cincy too much for what happened.
I'll take LSU or Clemson on a neutral field against them. They haven't played anybody this year. They get credit for Michigan and Wisconsin, but I don't think either of them are very good.
Clemson gets to rest their starters half of every game they play so they should be very well rested and healthy at the end of the the year compared to a team like Ohio State that has to face a ranked team in almost 50% of the games they play in the regular season.
Dude Ohio state has the biggest cream puff schedule ever. Have you looked at who they’ve played?

I think its safe to say Wake Forest won't be in the rankings after this beating along with Navy. So that's two. Iowa State might do us a solid with Texas if they can hold on for another quarter and our Mountaineers to the north are in striking distance of beating K-State.

They're going to need it with Penn State and Michigan on deck. We'll get to see if they belong where they are or not in the next two weeks.

Navy obviously the biggest one for us, but losses by K-State, Texas and Indiana also good news for our overall rank.

USF with an early TD on Cincy, won’t get my hopes up but at least something to watch while App is hopefully doing our thing tonight.

ETA: Cincy’s QB has gone to the locker room with an injury.

Not looking good for a lot of lower ranked teams. If we can hang on we should move up a few spots.

Cincy squeaks one out against South Florida 20-17. I know I keep saying it but the AAC doesn't scare me at all.

We should climb to at least 22. Gotta absolutely annihilate poor Texas State next week. Unless there is some major shakeup above us we might top out unfortunately. AAC is showing that there are no guarantees but the bad teams simply can’t finish the deal to help us.

My guess is Navy drops out, we jump Cincy and Boise jumps Memphis. Boise on the road to 100 vs NM. Not sure we will see Boise lose one. Memphis and Cincy will cancel each other out before season ends. Beat Texas St!

Cincy was lucky as hell to win, but we aren’t jumping them from 8 spots behind when they won on the road. I think they maybe drop a bit but not that much.

Hoping A&M doesn’t jump us. They didn’t do us any favors with the way they stomped SC tonight.

Here is what I have so far for the CFP Top 25. I could see Minnesota dropping to 12-13. I could also see us at 23 or 24 depending on how much credit they give A&M and VT. I would personally put A&M and VT just ahead of us and I'm sure most would. Both of them looked good.

I would think either SMU or Iowa State is #25. I almost flipped Memphis and Cincy so it would not shock me if committee does.

If this ends up being order then all we need is to win out, the winner of the Cincy vs Memphis game to lose the AAC title game and for Boise State to just take one more loss at any point.

Our P5 wins are not strong at all. Obviously glad we got them, but there’s no denying both the Carolinas are bad ball teams this year. I’m pretty confident we will be sitting pretty at 22, but you never know.

They’re as strong as anyone else’s though. UCLA, TCU, Florida State, Ole Miss - all are going to wind up between 4-8 and 6-6.

Hopefully UNC wins their last two and at least makes a bowl. SC would have probably been a 6-6 team against most schedules, they just didn’t have many easy wins in there.
