Loving that we are here

We are 29th all-time in win percentage as a program.

15 years ago we were 6-5.

Then came the changes...3 chips and a Michigan later we are the talk of the town. ESPN discovered that Boone existed and got to taste our cupcakes.

2013 the naysayer pitchforks come out after a 4-8 season.

2014-2018 we move to the G5 world and have our transition years and snag our first bowl wins.

Today I sit here and look at that block A at 22 on the rankings......holy s#!^
We are ranked above storied programs USC (9), Nebraska (5), Texas (4), Miami (5), FSU (3), Mich St. (3), TX A&M (2), TN (2), GA Tech (3)...
The list goes on. That's 36 national titles among those teams. Sure some aren't to the level they once were, but that doesn't change their legacy.

Even the Pro Football Hall of Fame has us at #34 for the best football programs over the last 150 years.

We were in the discussion for the NY6 invite at one point.
If we win out we could be ranked 18-20.

Tons of programs dream of being us.

15 years....... 8-)

Yep, as AJ and Big C like to say on the podcast. This ride is unprecedented, stop and enjoy it.

Great post. Though I hate to pick a few nits, i'm going to anyway. I know you did not intend to imply it all started 15 years, but we should not lose sight of the tradition that has been built in Boone over all 90 years of football at App. You get to #26 all time in winning percentage by winning decade after decade. We are a school that has had back-to-back losing seasons only once since joining the NCAA almost 50 years ago - and maybe twice in the 40 years prior at the NAIA level. 9+ wins were commonplace in the 80s and 90s, and during my sophomore year in Boone ('95), we cheered an undefeated regular season. We won in the NAIA, we won in the 1-AA/FCS, and we are continuing that tradition in FBS.

The last 15 years have been amazing and the best period this school has ever seen. It could all end next season of course, but let's remember we have a tradition of winning football games that goes back longer than all of us have been living.

The fact I have a degree from App is pretty damn amazing in and of itself. That alone speaks to the amazing faculty and staff at App.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.
