I have a random question, my family and I have lucked into getting suite access for the Texas State game. I've never been fancy enough to be anywhere close to a suite at a football game. Can someone help my wife and I figure out if we need to wear anything nicer than normal (I typically throw on my game worn #13 Legree jersey with black jeans, haha)?
I was going to ask about cheering and how much we can eat, but if they have a problem with that, we'll just sneak downstairs with the regular folk.
Thank you all!
If you are in the Chancellor's suite, black and gold business casual is the norm. Otherwise, check with your host. I've seen all sorts of gear in the suites the few times I've sat there. I will echo what others have said. There is less loud cheering from the suite area. Some of that is the nature of the seats being inside rather than outside. Some of it will be the company you keep. Obviously, some suites are louder than others. The windows do open.
Enjoy!

Forgive me if this is not allowed, but I am seeking a ticket for the TX state game. I have 2 in section 213 and would love to find 1 more for a family member to sit at least in the same section as us. This will be my first App game in a while and my family members 1st App game ever if we can find a ticket nearby. Thanks in advance!
I hope this game is a sell out and we pack The Rock, but I have a feeling it won’t be. As long as you have an extra ticket for your friend to get in there will probably be room for your friend to sit with you. I will probably have an extra ticket into the game if you need it... I should know more later in the week.

Looks like another rain game Saturday...that'd make like 4 games with bad weather at home, right? Only ETSU and UNCC were good weather games?
Hopefully the forecast will improve...

Listening to Drinks press conference sounds like they plan to eat the quarterback alive or at least attempt to. Would love to see about 20 sacks, interceptions, hurries and knockdowns.

Two weeks in a row a school dropped in CFP rankings (SMU, Cincy) after having close games. App needs a convincing win. I would hate to see them playing starters and throwing deep balls up 28+, but still would like to see them beat the spread and limit TX St scoring.

Actually, SMU re-entered the rankings.

First week, SMU was in CFP, then dropped out after a close game vs ECU. This week Cincy dropped 2 spots after back to back close wins (Ecu & USF)

I see what you were stating. I thought you were saying that SMU dropped this week but instead you were pointing out they dropped after week 1. My mistake.

Yes, broader point is the committee will drop you if you have a close game with a below avg team, exactly the scenario facing App this week....so if they want to keep their ranking or maybe jump up a spot or two, they need to win convincingly.

Interesting that Spav sees App as a SEC-type team (compared to a Big 12 style team in Troy) that controls the ball since we're tops in the Sun Belt in it. I think that's mainly by accident (milking clock in the second half of the big wins) because otherwise, we're not a ball control team like last year.
Defense better be prepared for lots of short passes and maybe some creativity. Bob Stitt is an offensive genius who has influenced many of the big CFB offensive names.

But then later says we’ll be like facing a Big 12 team!.... I don’t know, go figure...

Man, I do have to say the weather hasn't been kind to our home games this year. I don't think there has been one blue bird home game this year

ETSU and UNCC were nice, otherwise worst weather season in a while. That CCU delay and sideways sleet vs GS were brutal.
