I asked on here last night during the game why Virgil did not have his name on the back of his jersey and no one answered. Any response?

Re: Virgil
I did not notice that. I saw that we had a #1 without a number but I am pretty sure Virgil wore #11 and had his name on it. Did #11 really not have a name on the back?

Re: Virgil
Don't know about the number, but the announcer (maybe mistakenly) referred to him as Virgil and the one he referenced had no name on the back of his jersey. Just blank.

Re: Virgil
Virgil’s original jersey became unusable. He took the 11 jersey of Jeremy Level and they took the name off. Level switched to #1.

If it happened in the middle of the game, the cost really wouldn’t have anything to do with it...

Re: Virgil
The 1 was an extra jersey for situations like this. Can't put a name on it if you don't know who is going to use it.
Level is normally 11 on defense. However, since Virgil's jersey because unusable, he had to take Levels jersey and Level wore the "no name" 1. Since Virgil's last name isn't Level, they took Level's name off when the switch happened.

We ran out of “V” letters, and “IRGIL” would’ve looked stupid.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 1:39 pmIf it happened in the middle of the game, the cost really wouldn’t have anything to do with it...

I figured it had to be something like that or we had a walk-on who earned a spot on travel team late. Thank you for the details!

Re: Virgil
Are you telling me we can't afford to hire a full time seamstress with sewing machine and all the needed fabric in various colors to take care of this in-game? Maybe we should give up on this pipe dream of FBS football.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 1:39 pmIf it happened in the middle of the game, the cost really wouldn’t have anything to do with it...

Re: Virgil
Wait a minute. If it was all of a sudden, the seamstress may have been available. Surely, Virgil will have his name on this week.
