Re: ULL discussion
My girlfriend and I are heading up Friday night. We have the convenience of staying with my sisters boyfriend who has an apartment close to campus. Unfortunately I don't think this game will be a sellout, but like others said, this will be Apps loudest and proudest fans. Where's everyone tailgating???

2 back sets, use tight ends for passing down the middle, THROW early and often--especially 1st down--, get Zac and his receivers in rhythm.

Re: ULL discussion
I think this right here is the way to go. Zac in a groove is scary because then our offense is unstoppable. Quick hits to Hennigan and Malik can be just as effective as a run game especially if they want to stack the box.

Re: ULL discussion
The first game was a defense/possession struggle. Both teams were extremely conservative. We outgained them and out possessed them even though we struggled with field position the whole game. There were no turnovers by either team. Our defense was much more effective. Neither team played like we normally play based upon statistics.

Re: ULL discussion
Ticket sales look absolutely pathetic so far. Thousands of seats available even with a favorable weather forecast. I don't get it.

Would be nice to see a Richmond 2007 like atmosphere of 24,500.GastonApp09 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 10:07 amTicket sales look absolutely pathetic so far. Thousands of seats available even with a favorable weather forecast. I don't get it.
Game being at noon usually hurts attendance, unless the opponent is Miami, apparently.

Unless their still holding season ticket seats the west side looks pretty full. The east side needs some help.GastonApp09 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 10:07 amTicket sales look absolutely pathetic so far. Thousands of seats available even with a favorable weather forecast. I don't get it.

I'll tell you why, it's the week after Thanksgiving. Many of us traveled far and wide, took off work, spent money elsewhere. I'm hoping to attend but I live within a couple of hours and have a free place to stay in Boone. Many people have to choose between this and a bowl game, or Christmas presents.GastonApp09 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 10:07 amTicket sales look absolutely pathetic so far. Re: ULL discussion
I get that for any people who live out of state or 3+ hours from Boone, but our largest % of our fanbase lives <2 hours away from KBS. You don't need a hotel room or anything and at $35 the tickets are very well priced. It shouldn't be difficult for us to get 20K to this game...but at this rate I don't think we get there.Boonegoon wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 12:58 pmI'll tell you why, it's the week after Thanksgiving. Re: ULL discussion
I am really sick and tired of the sanctimonious blow hards that want to question ones fandom based on their efforts to attend a football game. I live 12 hours from God’s Country and I made it to three home games and one away game this year. I will be at the bowl game wherever that may be. Does it make be a better fan than those who haven’t been to as many games? NO! It makes me blessed that I had the opportunity of time and money to do so. It doesn’t matter if you live within walking distance, or a half day’s drive away, if you can go, go. If you can’t, that’s cool too. Being able to go doesn’t make you a fan, it makes you fortunate. Be thankful for that. Rant over.

Re: ULL discussion
It was suggested to me on Twitter that I move my daughter's 7th birthday party in favor of this game. It's pretty easy to see in our fan base a) who has a family and b) where some folks place their priorities.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 1:35 pmI am really sick and tired of the sanctimonious blow hards that want to question ones fandom based on their efforts to attend a football game. Just remember folks, sometimes the way you want to plan something doesn't always mean it will come to fruition. Take that into consideration the next time you chastise others on the internet (or elsewhere).

Re: ULL discussion
Very true. Wearing the gear, cheering, going to games, giving money, etc. all are ways of being a fan. Just attending the game does not make someone more of a fan and this comes from someone who has been to multiple games every year of my life since college and even several years before.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 1:35 pmI am really sick and tired of the sanctimonious blow hards that want to question ones fandom based on their efforts to attend a football game.
