For those who say starting a new thread on a similar topic is redundant...get a life. Parents and recruits say that the major reason they sign is because they like, respect, and/or trust the recruiter (head coach especially) and that he hopefully will be there throughout their potential four years.
Other programs are already using the potential instability of keeping our present coach against us. Trust me.

Oh I believe you. It’s something to consider for any recruit. My retort might be..”So you are saying you suck as a coaching staff and will be here cause no one wants you”....I think most recruits get past that.

True, but i don’t think it applies to our present staff because they certainly don’t suk. We may be a good program no matter whom we have as a staff as no body is irreplaceable, but our present staff is probably as good as we can afford at present.

Me, too, in addition to the actual potential recruits.. Of which there are more than most people seem to think. I just didn't get your hyperbole.

I'm not sure if many noticed, but our forum viewership spiked during a certain hiatus. I personally interviewed hundreds of forum visitors and they all said that they enjoyed the lack of negativity and redundancy during that period. Sadly, it seems many of those good folk have transferred to other sports forums in the hopes of getting a life for themselves. I spoke with a few new forum recruits a few days ago and they have all decided to commit to other team forums due to our redundant insecurities,...or maybe they said instability, I can't quite remember, but I do remember it was redundant, trust me.

Umm. What have I said negative except to remind everyone that cares, how much talk about potential coaching changes affects recruiting? If you can rebutt that, I will apologize. Otherwise, I stand by my post. As to a hiatus, you nor your cronies can run me off. Only the admins.
As to redundancy, I started THIS new thread in hopes that we would see a positive side to refraining from such talk about coaching changes.

My hiatus was simply and only to get consultation and rehab for my back condition. No other reason whatsoever. If you want a hiatus, take one yourself. Now good night.

I love they are using it against us. It means we are successful. This is neither suprising or a rumor. Pretty common knowledge as it has been going on for decades at successful programs. We will always be a stepping stone. Unless you are one of maybe 10 programs in the nation, you are a stepping stone to Ohio State, Texas, Bama, Floridas of the world. Heck, I bet half the SEC tells kids every year that Saban wants back in the NFL. No clue why this is a rumor to anyone whos been paying attention.

So you're saying it sucks to be a successful program because we may lose our coach? and we shouldn't discuss the potential of losing our coach even though this is a sports talk forum, where any one with any ideas or insights into the program we love can bring forth forum topics.
