From footballscoop.com:

Missouri: Source tells FootballScoop Drink has offered to retain several of Barry Odom’s staff. We are told defensive line coach Brick Haley, safeties coach Ryan Walters and defensive backs coach David Gibbs are all expected to remain on staff at this time.
I was saying there are some assistants who won't be with App or Missouri next year. Looks like Stewart will be one of those. Harbison and Gasparato stay here.
Why would Stewart not have a spot at App?
He should.

Help me out here, who was the high school coach hired out of Shelby to be the assistant to the former head coach?

So he’s not listed as a coach. Anybody have an idea what might happen to this poor guy. I felt like he was brought in to showdown the former head coach and learn the job. Maybe a head coach in training. This is the kind of thing that really bothers me about the one and done stuff. What kind of damage did you do to other folks?

If its Shawn Clark that gets head coach (and all signs are pointing to that), Ware will be perfectly fine.

Lance and I were on the same floor in Coltrane our freshman year at App. Good times. Glad he has been successful in his career path.

When will the interim tag be removed? Can Clark still pick his staff with the interim tag? Is Clark working on a staff right now?

Every head coaching candidate in the country have people in mind for their staff should they get the job.

Call scheduled for friday. My guess is sometime Friday. I'm sure he is working on staff right now. Although nothing may not be finalized until the interim tag is removed, I'm sure we will have a large portion of staff in place by Monday

I guess they won’t remove it until they do the search right?

I’ll be good with Coach Clark, I tend to like tried and true over new and shiny.

Lance Ware is capable of coaching several positions, I surely hope he is kept on.

Besides being a sentimental favorite and players' choice, what makes Shawn Clark qualified to step in to a job so well coveted and previously occupied by three successive really good coaches? Just asking. Haven't followed his career.

Search Clark's bio, looks qualified for a regional G5. We probably won't get Urban Meyer or Lincoln Riley.

Now there is skepticism throughout the SEC about Drink being the right hire for Mo. He has a tall task for making them competitive and finishing higher than fourth consistently against Georgia, Florida, and UT that seems to be on the rise.

Glad you said it first. I do not know much about him, but i want to know if he is the best possible candidate out there. i get he is an app guy, and i like that. Little concerned over the players and what they want. They are 18-22 yr olds, sometimes what they want may not be the best for them.
No ill will against SC and i trust Gillin, but just want to make sure we get the best out there.

If he went to Shelby, which is where Harbison is from, there may be some connection there? Hoping we can keep much of the defensive staff in place. I suspect whether Woody is brought back or Roof is retained, they may want to make some changes?

He certainly deserves to come back if he wants, but to me he just has a vibe about him like he would be elsewhere next year regardless. Just a hunch.

We met his wife and family one time at a restaurant and didn't get the feeling they really loved Boone after spending time in a much larger city. Seemed like a great guy and family though.

Why would Nate Woody come back as an assistant? Wonder how much $$ he makes at Mich?
