Agree, this looks like a solid hire. His ST experience and success is definitely a major plus. I am also VERY excited at the fact that he was Ohio U’s recruiting coordinator. With him and Watts, recruiting should improve even more. I have great confidence in some of the new guys as well. From everything I’ve heard, Cort Braswell is going to be a killer recruiter for us. GO APPS!!

Looks like a strong staff with solid experience from my perspective. Last year Drink seemed to like a very "steady" approach...businesslike in his preparation to games. That's a good thing sometimes but I think he got us in trouble on Halloween. I get the impression that the intensity and emotion might be higher on the sideline this year. Trust the hat!

He was also a GA at UTEP when his dad was Head Coach there in 2017. He's got a decent foundation, so I hope he proves to be a strong contributor!

Jokes aside, tar hole fans seem frustrated they lost her, so she must have done something right in Chapel-Hill. I’m pleased with the caliber of our staffing hires this offseason.

I definitely feel as if Ms. White should be involved in EVERY SINGLE in-home recruiting visiting...assuming in-home is permissible with her new position. I feel as if 16/17/18 year old guys would really value hearing from her on what makes App State great for them.

Yep. That's what I was thinking. A year ago, there were questions about who would be that "motivational" high energy coach. This year, we seem to already have 2 or 3 who fit that mold. I appreciate the "steady" approach to a point, but football is an emotional sport and there are times when the energy level needs to spike!

Man. Information is hard to come by. CSC has played this one close to the vest. I imagine we have to be getting close though. It has taken awhile to finish this up, but I imagine there are reasons for this that would make sense if they are ever divulged. Probably has to do with stuff that isn’t meant for public knowledge.

Yes it's getting close. At this point, its just finishing the process on the candidate. Nothing confirmed yet on who though. I have some ideas, but that's all they are. It's been kept VERY close to the chest.

I had said this earlier and the trend seems to support it. Shawn saw what happened to Eli with some staffing moves that didn't pan out (they left before or as soon as they arrived) and left him with some egg on his face. Shawn seems to want to dot the i's and cross the t's before he announces anything official or even let's info out for informal discussion. I like it and it will probably serve him well as the HC. In my profession I like to control messaging and it seems Clark takes a similar approach.
