Alum...thanks. My question was about Satts last year. You are hearing about someone different than me then. Doesn't mean it cant be both.
He is a huge ambassador for our program and would definitely help strengthen our culture. I hope Clark and DG build a nice staff.

What a tease

Someone who was just retained by a new coaching staff?

I may catch some backlash, but Ted Roof very well could be our Jerry Moore in waiting. I for one would be ok with it once Clark gets interest from P5’s down the road. I like what he and his players accomplished once they jelled.
Said the same in another thread
Yeah, but you spelled jelled with a “g”. :P

Riley will be calling plays Saturday. Thinking it may signal who Clark is leaning to as OC.

I recommended it a few days ago, and I think it bears repeating. Taylor Lamb would be an excellent choice for QB coach. He has the intelligence to be an excellent OC with a bit of experience.

Bring up Brad Hardee. Pretty sure he's a family doctor in Hickory now but...ya never know?

(Not as crazy as some ideas I've seen here)

I'd put money on Riley being offered the OC gig full-time, if it hasn't been done already. I have no inside knowledge. Drink is hiring an OC from TCU, I believe.

Riley's shot will be here if Clark offers.

Drink isn't calling the plays himself next season?

Drink has a big budget to work with now. A few folks seem to want to paint his decision to be both HC and OC as an ego thing at App, but I'm convinced it was more about managing a tight budget and being able to have a designated special teams coach. Budget isn't an issue for him at Missouri. I'm sure he'll keep his hands in there though.

He can pay more but he can't hire any more assistants than he had here.

He also may have learned that he needed to separate duties in-game to be more effective.

That's true, but a designated OC is generally one of those titles that requires both more experience and more money. Generally the OC also coaches a position, so it doesn't require an increased headcount but does require more money.

In the presser following his hiring, he stated he was going to call the plays until he felt that everyone understood his system. He could have changed his mind or he's bringing this guy to coach a position group with the understanding that he eventually would be the OC.

Drink is calling plays at Mizzou. Still hiring an offensive coordinator though.

Maybe the Tiger fans will have a chance to witness the offensive genius more so than we did
