Do you think #trustheballcap will have a ST coordinator?

Don’t see how if Clark isn’t also being the OL coach.
Drink being HC/OC/QB opened up a spot for a dedicated ST. Don’t think we have that luxury at this point

Coordinator contracts take longer to work out the details.

That's all I'm going to say about three people that have been mentioned previously.
Riley Jones Gas?
Jones is on vacation.

Gotcha. Do any of our coaches have previous experience with ST? Did Link leave his ST book behind when he left? He seemed effective in all facets of ST.

I think that Ware does. Presuming that he is hired.

Has anybody seen the E.J. article today, basically titled like this thread? Says Gasparato is reuniting with Woody at Army...

No defensive staff returning from last year. Jones coming back is a bigger deal to me now than before. Would be sweet if we could also get Ivey back.

Losing Gasparato stinks. Jones retuning is good for our 3-4 continuity, but the influx of new (to App) defensive minds could be really good for keeping our edge.

Rowe ran a similar scheme as ours while he the DC at Valdosta State.

Similar scheme or not, I think having 0 continuity from the year before is very difficult.
I’ve heard from multiple people Ivey was interested in coming back. Was that as DC only?

I will put it this way. I would be shocked if Ivey comes back. I would disagree with you on the continuity challenges. If anything, it makes us a bit of an unknown for the opposition to prepare. I don’t expect much to change in terms of what we do.

Anyway you look at it, our defense will not perform to the same level as last few years. All defensive coaches will have to learn what our players can and cannot do and then adjust our play calling to fit.
