UAB ain't no slouch. I think the game is close in the first half. In the second half the D starts to dominate and the offense starts showing off. App more than covers, but it looks in doubt for a half.

If we lose we will fall out of the top 25 for sure. UAB is not the CUSA Champs. We need to put it on these guys. I hope we beat them 50-0. It would be a good statement for Shawn Clark to make for the job and help set us up for next year.

I try not to take any game for granted because even if it's unlikely, nothing in life and especially in sports is 100%.

Having said that, UAB appears to rate in the metrics somewhere around the level of Troy/Georgia State/UL Monroe. None of those games were particularly close although both ULM and Georgia State did have early leads.

I would probably expect App to win this by around three touchdowns or so.

They are indeed a conference runner-up but god look at the conference. I had pointed out on another thread that they beat 1 team with a winning record (and in that game La Tech was without their suspended QB and best receiver). They beat a winless Akron, two one win teams in ODU and UTEP, a two win South Alabama, a three win Rice and two four win teams in USTS and North Texas. They also beat Alabama State by 5 points. They avoided Marshall and UNCC. There can't be any other top 20 team who gets such a horrific opponent. The only way this game looks bad is if somehow we lose.
