Blown away by the presser. Coach Clark hell of guy.... This means a lot too him. It means a lot to the fan base. I wasn't planning on a beverage tonight, but after that speech, I feel a need to celebrate with a pour or two. Damn GREAT TO BE A MOUNTAINEER!

I think we just saw what a young Jerry Moore was like.

Is that what a young Jerry Moore was like? I'm just really hoping the success continues and we sort of begin the Boise State model for head coaches. App is well on the way to becoming Boise State of the East, based on comparable time periods since moving up (first 5 years).

Re: 4:30 PM Presser to Introduce Head Football Coach
I know he's a former player but is he a really big guy or is DG on the short side? It's like when they introduced him, he was so tall you only saw his chest.
If it's the former I pity the ref who makes a lousy call, lol.
All joking aside, this is the embodiment of a person who wants to be here and for all the right reasons. He's got the right attitude and I can see how he's got the locker room a bunch of dancing fools after every victory...almost had me throw my dinner on the ceiling, lol.
Good hire, and hopefully he's the man that will take this Top TWENTY team above and beyond all expectations.

I want to hear more about this contract. I loved that he said he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, too!

Re: 4:30 PM Presser to Introduce Head Football Coach
No one including Coach Clark knows how long he will be here. But one thing is for damn sure, HE wants to be here now and is so proud to be our coach. No smooth talk, just sincere speak from the heart. My God I hope this man does a great job and wants to be here a long long time. But if he is successful, and were to eventually leave, I will never doubt his desire to be here in the first place and the pride he felt in being the head coach of Appalachian State University. Let’s do this, Coach Clark.

I believe the man when he says he got his dream job. Some guys say that because they got $4M+ per year=dream job. To coach at YOUR school that you absolutely love must really be a DREAM job. Go get them coach!!

I bet all the people that complain about the "Go! Fight! Kick Ass!" have all had cerebral hemorrhages hearing him say "sandpaper that ass".

Coach Clark is a big dude. I'm every bit of 6'3 and have had the pleasure to meet him a handful of times. He is a large human being.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 7:13 pmI know he's a former player but is he a really big guy or is DG on the short side? Re: 4:30 PM Presser to Introduce Head Football Coach
Everything about this presser was amazing. Him thanking his family and Coach Moore along with D.G. and even Satterfield for bringing him on as a coach to get a foot in the door. Appeared as though some of the players were there which tells me all I need to know about this guy as a coach. Saw the endless support and Twitter hashtag from the current players, which tells me 2020 is going to be a wonderful season. Every recruit we're after needs to be sent this video to see that coming to Boone should be the only choice.

Watched his press conference and I am certain we got the right guy. No cliches or mantras, just a genuine love for App State. You could hear it and feel it in his words. He knows the deeper meaning of what it is to be a Mountaineer, and what makes this place and this culture so special. Excited about the future! Go get em Coach!
