I've heard that for a long time. It's my understanding that the West stands wouldn't meet current codes if we were building today. At some point, we will have to rebuild them and they will take up some or most of the area where the track current sits. At that time, we can also rebuild the East stands to connect more seamlessly with the upper deck. That will create a much more symmetrical stadium, add capacity and tighten up the field space as well. I assume that project would be down the road though. It won't be cheap, however we do it.

I emailed DG last year after the bowl game and requested we consider the Endzone from last year's New Orleans Bowl.

Couldn't disagree more. There's too much going on with that. Simple is better. We don't need the "A" and "App State" in the same endzone. Also, if we're going to go to "App State" instead of "Appalachian", at least use one color, and preferably Black. Not "App" with white and "State" with gold.

I agree with not having both the Block As and the AppState. The two color format is one commonly used for T-shirts and other promos. I'm ok with that but I would rather have the black background.

I 100% agree.....KEEPING THE BLACK BACKGROUND IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!

I like the idea of chairback seats, but the downside would be the resulting loss of seating capacity unless there is an expansion of the current seating. When UNC did that in 2018, it reduced the capacity of Kenan Stadium from approximately 63,000 seats to right around 51,000.

If we were all about being simple then we'd wear all black at home and white jersey with black pants on the road. Instead we have hella uniform combinations, because that's what the players and recruits want to see. I'm not saying my idea is the best (Although some players last year commented on how it looked last year), but I wouldn't be surprised OR mad if they asked the players for their input. They are the ones playing on the field. Don't be shocked if the players input isn't a "simple" idea. I'm a fan of black endzones, but I'm also a fan of the white block A... however the black block A has grown on me. Maybe our last green letterhead endzones left a forever bad taste in some people's mouths, but it is possible to have a good looking endzone that isn't black.

You're jumping from endzones to jerseys, but a lot of these times these things are overthought. I'm not saying just wear all white and all black, but there is a point where you're doing too much. Case in point, look at the Titans and Bucs jerseys, they tried to get cute and now have the worst uniforms in the NFL. Back to the endzones.. The black background with Appalachian (in one color) looks good, why change it? That bowl endzone looked horrible and had too much going on, I'd prefer to not do that in ours. Sometimes if it aint broke, don't fix it.

I totally agree. Have no idea how they could improve it without redoing the whole stands.

I had some time to throw together some mockups this evening. I assume that the new turf will look something like at least one of these. I definitely don't see us going with a green endzone, but I do see the new 'AppState' wordmark being used in a pretty bold way. I would love to see Yosef at 25-yard line (opposite the SBC logo), but I don't see that happening.
