I'd like to see the contract because that article is confusing. Reads like it was written very fast.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:58 pmThose bonuses are super low. If he were to win a NY6 or get to the CFP he should get about 300K per win. Those games would bring in so much money that I think he needs an agent big time. Clark should be getting about 700k bonus with incentives that would put him over 1.2M total and I don't think he can reach 800k with this can he? I love that his family is allowed to travel to all away games at no cost but I rather have the cold hard cash and heavy incentives. Just feels like we lowballed a man that I thought we would pay about what Drink got.
Yeah he basically appears to have repeated the contract line by line rather than figuring out which parts are most important and leading with those.goapps93 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 1:16 pmI'd like to see the contract because that article is confusing. Ask and you shall receive!
Good breakdown. He’ll also get $10,000 bonus for the Guarantee game against Wisconsin.VNova wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:53 pmThis is probably my favorite part: "His family is allowed to travel to all away and post-season games with the team at no cost."
Base + Retention Bonus + Royalties + Car Allowance = $757200 guaranteed in 2020, to top out at $857200 guaranteed in 2024.
If he wins 9+, the CCG, and a non-CFP bowl, he tops out at $897,200. If he does so in 2024, it's $997,200. Add in the academic and ticket sales bonuses and Clark is hovering around $1 million his first contract.
We're not paying much more than we were before, but the buy out is astronomical.
He seemed pretty cheerful at the press conference. You people can’t be pleased.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:58 pmThose bonuses are super low. If Clark is happy our opinions don’t matter. Contracts can always be rewritten.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:58 pmThose bonuses are super low. Not posted on the athletics site yet. The current one, 2018 through 2024 is on there though.
