Very hard to understand why the visitors is not in the NEZ.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:08 pmNo for the last 15 years we made them walk to the NE corner and then run out.
Why we can’t plan ahead and put the visiting locker room (a small one) in the NEZ is puzzling.
Each capital project we plan for the now not the future. That is partly due to the lack of funds, still frustrating.
I’m never a fan of opposing teams getting near fans, only downside there.

I know it's not finished, but the Grandview Ballroom looks bland. I look forward to seeing it in person someday, but man, the images do not move the needle for me.

I think the idea is that there are two walls of huge windows, one with a spectacular view of the stadium, and the other with views of Howard's Knob...thus "grand" views. Also, it's obviously not furnished yet. I'm pretty excited about it...boonegoons89 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:20 amI know it's not finished, but the Grandview Ballroom looks bland. Re: NEZ work today
Just sitting here waiting for that high school looking scoreboard in front of the NEZ to be kicked to the curb. Don’t think it will be there once they get the field level patio out in. Or at least I hope.
Wonder if they have any plans to implement a small/newer scoreboard on the side of the stadium?

Id like to see some ribbon boards on the leading edge of the stands, but i also realize those aren’t cheap.JPatH3292 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:53 amJust sitting here waiting for that high school looking scoreboard in front of the NEZ to be kicked to the curb. The ballroom will be configured for whatever activity is occurring, it will not be with permanent furniture.

I thought the same thing, there is room for it up there but I also think putting the scoreboard up there would look tacky as hell on a brand new 50 million dollar facility.bcoach wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 3:42 pmActually I hope they put it on the roof.JPatH3292 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:53 amJust sitting here waiting for that high school looking scoreboard in front of the NEZ to be kicked to the curb. Re: NEZ work today
Correct me if I am wrong, but will they video for game film on top of the NEZ? If so, the scoreboard can’t be centered.

It is a roof. Look at all the stuff up there now. I just think it is a lot easier to read at a quick glance than the jumbo is. BUT! Guess what? I don't get a vote(:JPatH3292 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:20 amI thought the same thing, there is room for it up there but I also think putting the scoreboard up there would look tacky as hell on a brand new 50 million dollar facility.bcoach wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 3:42 pmActually I hope they put it on the roof.JPatH3292 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 10:53 amJust sitting here waiting for that high school looking scoreboard in front of the NEZ to be kicked to the curb. Re: NEZ work today
If the monies become available, I'd do a ribbon board with a stand alone (on a post/pole) 25 second clock at field level.

Re: NEZ work today
Oh I agree. I just hope if they do that, it’s not the old scoreboard. A newer one would be preferred but as always, we are talking more money to spend which is tight at the moment. Either that or as YesApp said, a ribbon board and a stand-alone 25 second clock at field levelbcoach wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:28 amIt is a roof. Look at all the stuff up there now. Re: NEZ work today
A ribbon board is probably factored into the cost of the building.

Re: NEZ work today
They're going to have to put some sort of 25 second clock on there at some point. Might not be the priority at the moment, but I think it'll come sometime after the season and we retire the old Owens scoreboard.

Re: NEZ work today
Question: Does anybody know if we still plan on putting up the Block A logo as shown in all the renderings? Ditto for the Block A in the brickwork near the main entrance? If seems those items would have been done by now if we still planned to do them.
