Re: NEZ work today
Soooo...anyone know if they are going to swap out all the white block-A's for black ones? We have white A's on the sides of the press facility, atop the scoreboard, and probably in other various places like entrances and around the concourse.

Re: NEZ work today
I don't see why they would. The white Block A is still an official logo, and fans specifically voted for the white A atop the score board via a poll. There is nothing wrong with having multiple block A colors. Alabama has a crimson A and a white A which they use interchangeably, and I haven't heard complaints.

They also use houndstooth, so a Yosef plaid block A might not look bad. Then again, it might.SayYesToTheRock wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 12:19 pmI don't see why they would. The Yosef Club has been handing out white Block A lapel pins for at least 20 years.

Nothing wrong with A black or A white Mountaineer Block A, just so long it is never A purple.
I like the White on the building and black on the field. Gives us flexibility to wear either color A on the uniforms.

i have more of an issue with the people that signed off on that silly multi-colored AppState design instead of just a one color App State or Appalachian State. We're trying to hard with that.

My wife just had her nails done, a light purple. When she asked how I liked them - “you forget I don’t like purple”? Oh yeah, West Carolina.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 5:44 pmNothing wrong with A black or A white Mountaineer Block A, just so long it is never A purple.

Re: NEZ work today
You are correct. No part of the structure will be gameday ready by CLT week. It's looking like sometime in October might be the earliest the 4th floor and seating is available for occupancy. The rest of the structure will follow accordingly. I believe the team is aiming to get into the ground floor facilities for Winter practice...

Re: NEZ work today
By not having the 4th floor and outdoor seating ready by 5 September, I wonder if the contractor lost an incentive $$$.

Re: NEZ work today
Does anyone know how the team will exit the facility once it is all finished? Based on what I have seen, it doesn't look like there is a wide enough spot for more than 1 person to exit at a time. Team entrance might be kind of boring with 1 player coming on to the field at a time lol

I'm positive they did. Especially on a large project like this with a hard deadline of (pre-COVID) football starting.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 11:53 amBy not having the 4th floor and outdoor seating ready by 5 September, I wonder if the contractor lost an incentive $$$.

Re: NEZ work today
It was bungled from the word go. Remember that it took nearly 3 months before Owens was down after they claimed that it would start immediately after the season. There have been a few major changes to the buildings design and they have basically stopped work on anything in it not athletics, sorry to the bookstore and campus dinning that paid their money up front, to focus on getting it ready.
I talked to a few contractors that work on jobs like this and at least one laughed at the "completion" date.
That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.
