Sun Belt #8.
"The Sun Belt lacks the depth of other leagues, but Appalachian State and Louisiana Lafayette are as good as it gets in the Group of Five. The Mountaineers, particularly, could play in any league. They beat North Carolina and South Carolina this season. Georgia State can claim a win over Tennessee and Georgia Southern nearly upset Minnesota. The Sun Belt had its moments as it usually does."

As expected. CUSA and MAC are way behind us. MWC and AAC are right where they should be.
Next year we have a good slate of OOC games across the SB teams. I'd like us to kill it as a conference next year against our G5 peers and some of the low-rung P5.

The depth of the SBC was actually pretty disappointing this year. It should have been much better but Arkansas State had a rash of injuries like I've never seen before, combined with a head coach who lost his wife to cancer just before the season started. Troy was his by the transfer bug followed by the injury bug also and significantly under performed against expectations. Georgia Southern had their moments but seems to be stuck in general mediocrity for now....high up side but inconsistent.
GSU was probably better than expected but not enough to offset the drop by ASU and Troy.
The next year or two could get interesting.

The MAC is in serious trouble long term. Mark my words.
