What's a Morgan State? Sounds depressing.

Re: Wisconsin
Game plan will have to be one similar to when we beat Michigan...beat them with athleticism. We should be the faster team on the field when this game rolls around, but we will have to make sure we use it. I hope that we see more read options next year with ZT actually pulling the ball and running with it, as long as he also knows how to slide to avoid too many big hits.

Re: Wisconsin
Evans and Davis-Gaither I can see being in that discussion. Who are you other two that we're losing? To me ZT and Sutton who we will have next year would be the other two that make up the top four.
I am worried about losing Davis-Gaither because replacing great LBs is never easy to do. Evans was a beast, however I feel much more comfortable with who we have to fill in at RB.

Re: Wisconsin
Just FYI, if we discuss this game over the next nine months, I got no patience for the #BeatMorganState or #BeatWake types. Us fans can talk about what we want.

Re: Wisconsin
I think you’ll see about a 50/50 split on replies of #BeatMorganState - half who are serious and think that a message board impacts game performance, and half (like myself) who are smart asses making fun of the other half.
With that said...#BeatETSU
Give 'em hell!

Re: Wisconsin
I too fall into the smart ass category...hence me actually replying to the OP about the game. I know that I have zero control over the season. Hell, I was just thinking the other day about how I plan to finally make the trip to New Orleans, meaning I think we can win the conference AGAIN.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 6:46 amI think you’ll see about a 50/50 split on replies of #BeatMorganState - half who are serious and think that a message board impacts game performance, and half (like myself) who are smart asses making fun of the other half.

IMHO linebacker position is going to be a ? Your right it is hard to replace great linebackers especially those two.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 9:23 pmVic, Fehr, Thomas, Dez all have to be part of that discussion.../\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 9:18 pmEvans and Davis-Gaither I can see being in that discussion. I'm so sick of all the fake fans on this message board. We can NOT start looking ahead to football season. It's basketball season, and that should be getting 100% of our focus. Get serious. Re: Wisconsin
It is absolutely hard to replace good linebackers, but App has done an excellent job of doing it in the past. What makes this one scary to me is replacing those LBs while also replacing the LB Coaches. I'll trust the hat, though! If Dale Jones is coming back, that should definitely be a plus at the LB position (assuming he would be involved).mountaineerman wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 9:09 amIMHO linebacker position is going to be a ? Re: Wisconsin
A big factor leading up to this game, besides replacing players and coaches, is the schedule. The Badgers square off at home against the Salukis the weekend before while App Nation rolls 1.5 hours down the road to take on the Deacons. Clark is going to have to get the team's mindset locked in with back to back big road games early in the season.

Re: Wisconsin
That's definitely going to be a tough start to the season for the Apps. I think this will have the guys attention this off season and camp will be super focused / motivated. Hopefully they come out of the blocks fast like the 2007 team and we show the Badgers AND the Deacons what Appalachian football is all about!moonshine wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 12:15 pmA big factor leading up to this game, besides replacing players and coaches, is the schedule. This thread is for the oblong spheroid, another exists for the round ball. I don't think anyone in The Cabin is a fake fan.MrCraig wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 9:10 amI'm so sick of all the fake fans on this message board. We can NOT start looking ahead to football season. I mean this with all respect and no intention of condescending, but simply to inform. The /s is internet speak for sarcasm. If you're willing to spend your free time even reading a message board, let alone commenting on it, you are a fan.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 3:12 pmThis thread is for the oblong spheroid, another exists for the round ball.
