Tailgating 2020
Ok, lets talk tailgating for 2020. Hopefully the new residence halls will be complete and construction won't be nearly like it was this past season. How can ASU create a central spot for tailgating? Currently we don't even have enough spots to put all Yosef Club members or all the students. I think it would increase the fan experience 10-fold if we could all tailgate in the same area. Thoughts?

Re: Tailgating 2020
Tailgating lots and such will be the same for 2020. I think after everything is done the central locations will still the parking lots on the west side of campus.

Re: Tailgating 2020
Construction on the third dorm (the massive V-shaped dorm adjacent to Belk, the new parking deck and the first two new dorms) begins Feb. 12. Construction on the even-larger fourth dorm (the replacement for Justice) is slated to begin in another year. We've got at least another football season of construction before we get the tailgating situation figured out.

Re: Tailgating 2020
When all is said and done and Bowie, Eggers, Gardner-Coltrane, and East are all dust, we'll end up with more parking spots than we had before construction started. Patience, Mountaineers, patience.

Re: Tailgating 2020
We should make this the "Way Too Early to Talk Tailgating 2020" thread w/appsolutely no disrespect intended toward appstate5 and his enthusiasm for the App Game Day Experience. AppGrad78 and Daphne are right on target. There's just too much low-hanging mountain fog and construction dust to see clearly.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

My daughter just toured App recently and the guide told us that all the construction on the dorms when finished would resemble a block A from aerial view.AppGrad78 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 2:38 pmConstruction on the third dorm (the massive V-shaped dorm adjacent to Belk, the new parking deck and the first two new dorms) begins Feb. 12. Re: Tailgating 2020
We really need to come up with an effective way to use the green space around the new dorms to “tailgate”. This could be a prime location to encourage folks to make Yosef club donation. The top of the deck is ok but it’s isolated.

We were spread out all across campus last year from the HHS lot to King street to the Legends lot. It would bring much more to the game day experience if we could all come together.
