Is back!!!
Know that or is it a guess? I wonder if he takes back TE and watts moves to OL. One of these 2 probably takes ST
Cool. Thanks.
We almost have to assume whoever we hire as RB coach is going to be our Special Teams Coordinator. Similar to how Holt was. RB coach is an easy position to pair Special Teams Coordinator with all things considered. The Rock wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 4:51 pmCool. Thanks.
Now that we have a better idea of what we are looking at, lets summarize.
Shawn Clark- HC
Petersen- OC/QB(?)
RB- _____________
WR- Pat Washington
TE- Justin Watts
OL- Nic Cardwell
Defense
Dale Jones- DC/Lbs
Cort Braswell- DL (?)
James Rowe- CBs (?)
Debastini- Lbs
_________ Safeties
__________ Special Teams
One would assume Ware may fill those gaps, but I can’t understand when he was already on staff and still recruiting for us, why the announcement has been mad yet.DoesntEvenGoHere wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:02 pmWe almost have to assume whoever we hire as RB coach is going to be our Special Teams Coordinator. He isn’t talking to players. He is representing App as a relationship builder. He isn’t allowed to speak directly to kids. The Rock wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:12 pmOne would assume Ware may fill those gaps, but I can’t understand when he was already on staff and still recruiting for us, why the announcement has been mad yet.DoesntEvenGoHere wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:02 pmWe almost have to assume whoever we hire as RB coach is going to be our Special Teams Coordinator. Would that be current players, recruits, or both?AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 11:14 amHe isn’t talking to players. He is representing App as a relationship builder. Both I believe. I know that he isn’t allowed to speak directly with recruits. Only FT coaches are allowed to do that. I also believe that football staff, outside of coaches are limited to non instructional contact with current players. That includes QC coaches. I do believe that they can be temporaryily elevated under certain circumstances, such as to fill in for departed coaches for bowl games. Someone with more Compliance knowledge can better inform the masses.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 12:40 pmWould that be current players, recruits, or both?AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 11:14 amHe isn’t talking to players. I didn't know it was this complex. Time to go learn something new.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:19 pmBoth I believe. I know that he isn’t allowed to speak directly with recruits. That is what I believe to be correct. My brother’s roommate at App is the offensive QC at Clemson. I believe that I read that condition of the role in the news article on his move.VNova wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 1:55 pmI didn't know it was this complex. Thought that meant you were dying...?
I don't think it's a done deal that he gets a spot on the coaching staff. Getting somebody to coordinate Special Teams is the first priority, if that person is a RB Coach then it's possible that Ware stays in an administrative role. The Rock wrote: ↑Tue Jan 28, 2020 3:37 pm

But seriously, it doesn’t make sense that we can announce hires from outside weeks earlier than we could someone internally.
He seems like a good guy with a resume of success at the HS ranks. Seems like a guy you would want recruiting for us.
When you do not have a full staff, you can temporarily bump others into recruiting roles. Ware was bumped to that role and was able to recruit while the staff was incomplete.
Don't think he'll be a FT coach this coming year. Nothing too say that will technically back that up, just a hunch.
