The video I just watched shows them using a lot of the under-track material as backfill for the hill regrading.
Makes sense...save where we can...we need the infill and that's less to haul away. Any link to that vid or was it a privately shared thing?
'Twas a BGP 333 club post. Hopefully more images and video finds its way to twitter today. I bet it will.

The old turf is in Sparta, NC. Old Alleghany Chevrolet parking lot. Wonder if it was sold or given to them?

I believe I recall the recently removed baseball turf ended up in Sparta as well, as I'm fairly certain I saw an ad for a company in Sparta selling "chunks" of it in sizes of your choice. My hope is that we indeed kept the Block A at midfield, saved it for last to remove as we did, in order to cut it up and sell as souvenir pieces, as I'll certainly want one.

A questions out of curiosity more so than because i don’t like it. Is the black and gold signage on the field level walls more so because of the worn status of the brick? Or did athletics just think that was a better look? Anyone know?

I think that's one of the first things DG did when he got here as the new AD, but yeah it's starting to look a little dated now.

Yeah it’s not something I’m dying to get rid of, but idk, something about it just looks a little bush league-ish to me.

If what Bama does is bush league, I wanna be bush league.

I don't miss this exposed concrete a single bit.

Agreed, I love the look. Loved it when we first did it, and still love it. Brand building, and more black and gold is never a bad thing. A million times better than the exposed concrete. GO APPS!!

I was in Boone yesterday. It looks very similar to the last pictures posted. The goalposts have been removed. The track is completely gone. It looked to me like they were scrapping the last layer of “stuff” off the field and where the track was.

GO APPS!!

My sister was at the stadium yesterday and sent some pics. I’m an ignorant millennial and have no clue how to upload (no need to instruct me, it just said the file was too large to attach), but as mentioned before, no updates on the looks. Same as Gonzo posted on Twitter last week.

Now let's build one or should we wait to see if track and field is dropped?

Those are padded walls, and in the end zone. Ours is a tarp like fixture on the sidelines - kinda apples to oranges. I don’t dislike it enough to argue about it, bush league was a tad harsh.

Agreed on the exposed concrete btw, brick would look nice IMO.
