If we beat them its huge, if we lose it means nothing.
The money would be great but if we have to sacrifice that game to beat stink & laffy taffy then I'll take it.

It would be a huge financial hit. One on a growing list.

No buy game, no fans in the stands, no concessions....i really do worry about the sustainability of the athletic department even if we are able to play 10 conference games. That measly 500k from ESPN isn’t gonna hold us over.

Let’s be real: All the games are in jeopardy. OOC are just first on the chopping block.

I'm just going to throw this out there but if the Big10 does away with non conference games. Maryland is scheduled to be on the road at West "by God" Virginia that week.

If the Wisconsin game is in trouble, means any game prior to that..and/or all nonconference games are in trouble. Disappointing given all the returning players on offense...combine that with the loss of talent after 2020. This hurts the
very positive momentum.of the program. I realize that there are arguments against full spring season given pro draft, however, I would like to see full spring season if somehow possible so we play our P5 opponents.

All games are in trouble. Did you see that Stanford dropped 11 sports today, of course they had 36 to start with. What would happen to Apps athletics dept? Who knows.

Everybody is in the same boat, all losers,no winners. All sports will be cancelled until an effective vaccine is wide spread.38 players did not show up last week at Penn St. because nobody wanted near the virus.Do you blame them.I love App football, but lets be real. Are the players going to be 6 feet apart having masks and sanitizers?I can see lawyers having law suits about who's responsible for getting the players sick.

Lawyers are going to be chomping at the bit to get a piece of the action in all this. Any loopholes in policies in places where people get sick are going to be exploited for millions of dollars in compensation. Right now the students health is priority number 1 but number 2 is C Y A. Every coach and administrator better be following the laws/policies to an absolute T. Even then there will be cases where loopholes no one thought of pop up. Its going to be all about the litigation right now and minimizing risks of sickness and liability.
I give falls sports to the end of September before they are so weakened from various things that they have to fold.

Where's the NCAA these days? Worried about those membership dues checks? Or what?

With every state dealing with this pandemic differently With no consistent strategy I’m not sending my players to Florida, Georgia,Louisiana or Texas.
This resurgence will doom the season. I’m sure plans are being made to pick up the pieces next year. UNC closed voluntary workouts after 37 people in the “athletic” program tested positive. I’m willing to forgo any refund of season tickets to help out and keep my Yosef donation constant.

hard to imagine college football this spring. Unless we get a vaccine at the end of the year, we might not even have spring ball. I guess there's a chance we can stop the spread enough by spring to at least have a shorted season, conference play only I suppose.
Please don't go away till fall 2021...not sure I can make it!

If this year gets cancelled for fall sports, I wonder how they will deal with seniors and those who still have an year of eligibility for next year...wonder how many of our senior/graduate/junior class we would lose to graduation/draft/etc. Do players stay and get one last year of playing the game? Will the NCAA grant special circumstances for them? So many unknowns right now

It would be pretty easy to argue that the athletes should be given an extra year of eligibility. Then the question becomes does the scholarship limit temporarily go up to allow for recruiting to not be affected (as much for schools as for the rising HS seniors). The transfer portal could be insane if all this happens-so many athletes will have an extra year and already have a degree.

Ivy League cancelled all fall sports. Dominoes beginning to fall while COVID numbers continue to rise, unfortunately. While there is still time, I'm not holding my breath that we'll have football this year... I'm with Rekdiver, continuing to support Yosef through all of this.

The Ivy League is not the benchmark for Div 1 football. The Ivy doesn’t need athletics to survive. They don’t offer scholarships and they don’t rely on television contracts to fund non revenue sports. So it cost them nothing to cancel.

My guess is that IF there is football at all, it will be conference only games either in the fall or the spring. We will be lucky if we get that.
