I didn't think this was a secretive enough thread to put it in the lodge, but I randomly looked at the 2021 class, and has there ever been a time where we've recruited four from VA, in the same class? Now, three of them are from the same high school, while the other from Phoebus in Hampton. I've hoped for years App State would look deeper into the Commonwealth for recruits. Maybe the jinx of Sean Price has kept the pipeline away, but I hope Coach Clark keeps looking to the northern neighbor. Lord Botetourt is near Roanoke, and even Lynchburg, while Phoebus is in Hampton. Both areas have a wealth of talent which given our recent success I feel we could compete for these recruits.

I guess it helps having a former Redskins (dang, I’m not suppose to say that word) coach on our staff.

There was a pretty good Virginia pipeline back in the Sparky Woods days, but someone is obviously working very hard to re-establish that.

Effort started last year, yielding results now. I agree, Va. should be part of our regular footprint.
