Don't agree with your position Appparent7, but apologize for others calling your opinion a noun. Pray for the uneducated. Just try and pull positively for the university, your family attended.

Re: App/CLT part 3
So, let's say we replaced the word Stadium (which is an outside venue), with the word Airport or Shopping Mall or even Rest Area.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 7:56 pmNo one with any credibility said masks were 100% effective. Many experts said they are helpful in lowering the spread of coronavirus.
With that said I do think in a venue of our size and it being outside in the noon time with lots of UV light from the sun (if not cloudy) that we could put a few in the seats. Maybe a few thousand, or at least family members. But the flipside of that involves bathrooms and concessions and then cleaning the bathrooms and concession areas that are cramped. It does become a bigger undertaking than it may seem, and I assume for basic health department reasons there needs to be some access to at least water and restrooms. The safety of concession workers should be considered. Maybe we only do sales in the stands with roaming sellers. That could work if we had credit card only transactions with a iOS device to allow swipes. I doubt we are set up for that sort of tech. That could be done is theory but is the wifi and such in place.
1. At the Airport/Shopping Mall/Rest Area (all of which are more crowded/via density than a Stadium with 7500 people in it), the bathrooms are open. People are going in an out of the bathrooms freely and they are not being cleaned after every use.
2. At the Airport/Shopping Mall Food Counters are open and food is being rung up with people in line. Again, workers are protected, but there are transactions taking place (sometimes, even with cash)
3. Wal-Mart is open (inside facility), grocery stores are open (inside facility), gas stations are open (crowded inside facility) etc.
4. On campus, students are living in dorms, sharing bathrooms and they are eating in "Dining Halls"
I am sure that the plan that Doug Gillin had in place (and that Wake Forest had in place for their game against Notre Dame in BOA) was more restrictive then the common places where society is already operating.
Hence, the issue with No Fans. Cooper's decision to close stadiums is not consistent with what is happening (and in some cases, has been happening since March) in day-to-day society in more crowded, indoor, less ventilated areas.

Mack Brown is also telling the governor the same thing. Maybe if all the schools keeping hitting Cooper with same message things will change.

Worked with Mark Yarbro on air on WASU. After years as a radio producer, it's good to see him get his shot "in front of the mic"

Re: App/CLT part 3
If i recall correctly, Apps D came out thinking Charlotte would start one QB and they started another. So it looked like we planned for the wrong game. That would not be a problem this year. Theres plenty of game film on their offense this time.ah59396 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 1:15 pm-20.5 line seems a little optimistic. UNCC made it a game last year and I suspect the same this year.
I really want to see our defense perform well. My expectations for our offense are the same as last year given we return the house. But I’ll definitely be more excited if we won a 28-10 game versus a 55-30 horse race.

They do have a new offensive coordinator, so offense won't be exactly the same. Only thing I'm worried about is the young guys on defense. I know they got playing time last year, but it's a little different scheme now. Offense I have no concerns about clicking immediately.

Re: App/CLT part 3
yep, their OC went to Florida St. I think they promoted their QB coach. And I think we lost 5 All conference players on D, so it will interesting our both sides perform when they have the ball.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 4:57 pmThey do have a new offensive coordinator, so offense won't be exactly the same. The best part of the uni reveal tweet is the #BeatUNCC. I’ve been tired of our athletic department playing along with their pathetic identity crisis.

Re: App/CLT part 3
If I remember correctly, our issue last year was that we didn't really put heat on Reynolds. We allowed him to scramble and our corners were on islands last year playing soft coverage. Plus, we didn't really make adjustments in the second half. All of these issues were corrected by mid-season.
