I could be totally wrong but I seriously doubt any ACC team is looking to schedule us at this point. It really makes no sense for them to do so. My guess is we might get Charlotte but I can’t imagine anything beyond FCS schools.
I think we get Charlotte and settle for 10 games. It sounds like FCS is done for the fall. That might open up some more opportunities among other G5 schools, but other than ECU, what counts as a bus trip? MTSU and Marshall, maybe?
I'd be okay with JMU coming to town.
Only if we play 1st string the entire game to keep them from a score. Not in the mood for purple streamers this year.
Actually that would be an OK game given everything else.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

I am never surprised or shocked at what I read on here. After all we have had the “fire Satt” thread, the “fire Roof” thread and bench Taylor Lamb among others. To read someone criticizing the athletic department for schedule issues is beyond me. Everything is both uncertain and really jacked up right now. App is poised to lose a ton of revenue, has lost a nice money game and even if we played Wake it might be in an empty stadium. For crying out loud let this thing play out. Doug has done an incredible job and we need to trust his expertise.

MTSU and Troy are playing twice this season. Hope we can avoid something like this but any games are better than none.

Which Group of 5 conference is on the verge of not playing? The tease on Full Ride today was a big time G5 program was announcing they won’t play this year and their conference may follow.

5 of my coworkers had it and my wife's uncle and aunt had it.. the coworkers are all young so it was mild symptoms for them, but the relatives were bed ridden for a week.
Probably know a dozen at this point .Middle aged folks. Describe it as “ like a bad cold” or just fatigue. The latter tested because of contact tracing. Either way a two week stay at home .
I tested positive three weeks ago and have just been released from quarantine. Wife is still quarantined till 8-16. I felt lousy, but I didn’t have many of the classic symptoms. I had fever, headache, dizziness and stomach upset. Was shocked I got it because I work from home and wear a mask when I did go out. Just glad I wasn’t around any of my older friends or my grandkids.
Glad you are back amongst us. Just curious , were you prescribed anything or just told to ride it out?
2 of my fraternity brothers ages 67 and 66 both got it. One was sick for better that 3 weeks fever and no appetite. lost 16 pounds. he has COPd and Dr. said the fact that he uses an inhaler probably save him. Second one sick for 3 weeks now with fever of 101-103 extremely tired but lucky no breathing problems. lost weight too Took a test cam back negative BUT test said if symptom persist you might consider the negative COVID test false and retake it.............
The inhaler as therapy is getting traction among some docs so that makes sense, I think the trade name is Symbicort , something along those lines .I have heard similar stories about test results .

The scuttlebutt on CSNBBS is that it’s Northern Illinois.

I suspect Mt West. Most likely a left coast team; perhaps SDSU. Just sent a text to a former co-worker and San Diego St grad to see what he knows.

You think it was simply for health concerns or were they having problems finding games - or both?

I was sick from late December to late February. Coughing non-stop, fever, chills (early on), extreme exhaustion. Took 2 flu test and they came back negative. I believe I had covid (haven’t taken antibody test yet though). In February, I went to see another doctor because of continued coughing and pain in head. They gave me prednisone (steroid). That was the only thing that helped me dramatically.

My sister had a very similar experience around the same time frame. We believe she had Covid also, but hasn't been confirmed, of course.
